Ratt appear to be on an indefinite hiatus after tensions within the band reared their head. According to Metal Sludge, it appears that the band may be about to call it a day. A rumour recently circulated that bass player Robbie Crane was out of the band, so Metal Sludge contacted the bassist and when asked about the situation, he replied: "As far as I'm concerned there is no Ratt to be 'fired' from, as Ratt is on an indefinite hiatus as we've finished the Infestation tour in Japan last week. "Warren has dates with his and Dee Snider's Christmas band, Stephen has 4 to 6 months of solo dates, Carlos is working with Rudy and Vinny on an awesome new project and I'm touring with Lynch Mob over the next couple of months. Thanks for the concern." However, drummer Bobby Blotzer told Metal Sludge Crane is not in a position to speak for any band he plays in as far ad I know, which clears up nothing. Thanks for the report to PlanetRock.com.

Yeah just from hearing Stephen talk you can tell its all ego and all show for that band, which sucks for Warren Dimartini because he's actually a decent guitarist but he got caught up in a cliche band before he could do anything good.

They will be missed, at least to me, they were one of the best bands from the 80's, warren and robin were 2 great guitar players who are often overlooked, they had a ton of great songs, sadly though people only seem to remember round and round. and i thought the last album, infestation, was actually pretty decent

Come on, quit hating on these guys, they may have been Hair Metal, (The least Metal of all the Metals) but theyre still far better then todays bubblegum pop being shoved down our throats

Nu metal and metalcore/deathcore posers are the least metal of all metal, hair metal doesn't suck as much as nu metal and metalcore.

I dont consider that metal, to me, those are actually subgenres of Post-Industrial-Prissy-Punk

It's not their best song, just their most well known.

It's okay, as a bassist, the thing I've been most disheartened by is still an episode of Metalocalypise: "Bass is the foundation of the band!" "Whatever bass player. Why don't you go make like a bass and be inaudiable."

Sorry, I should remember not to make biased statements like that.

Nobody cares anymore, I like some of Ratts early stuff, but they've done all they can do.

Have any of you heard the new album? By far one of the best albums they've ever done and I really had hopes of them continuing on with something equally as strong.

a drummer said that about a bassist eh? Fighting for the middle of the food chain it seems.

sad to know these things happen. i just liked 2 or 3 songs of them. still, the Crane's thing is just sad, why can't there be any respect for bassists?
