Guitarist is now off European and South African Shows.

Looks like Richie Sambora's "personal issues" are not solved yet. A statement of Bon Jovi's official website has announced that guitarist will not be appearing with the band on their upcoming European and South African tours. The short announcement, which was posted on April 30th simply reads: "due to a personal matter, Richie Sambora will not be performing on the European and South African leg of the tour. All shows will go on as scheduled"

The announcement comes after Jon Bon Jovi promised fans that the guitarist was still in the band to Ellen Degeneres last week: "Okay ... well ... all I can say is that, honest to God, it's a personal matter, but we love him very much and he's absolutely still a member of the band."

The band, meanwhile, has announced an Australian tour to take place this December:

12/07 - Melbourne - Etihad Stadium 12/11-Adelaide - AAMI Stadium 12/14-Sydney - ANZ Stadium 12/17-Brisbane - Suncorp Stadium

It is as yet unknown whether Sambora will be performing at these dates.

Why is everyone so excited about this?! I didn't hear anyone talking about "Phil X" before. He's just "Hired Replacement X" to me. No Sambora, no interest.
Phil X is Badass man. Just because You don't know who he is doesn't make him bad. Like Bon Jovi is actually worth going to see by himself. His rock sucked so now he sings country. Check out Phil X and the Drills. Seriously, do yourself a favor.
You know that isn't the reality. Phil X might be a great guitarist (don't know his work), but even so, Sambora fits perfectly in the Bon Jovi context, and fans are well aware of that.
Phil X is X times the guitarist Sambora is! As much as I hate listening to Bon Jovi on the radio, I hope to see them when they come to Australia (But ONLY if it's with Phil X!)
You hate listening to Bon Jovi on the radio (for free) but are willing to pay X-amount (probabaly way over-priced like most "big" bands) to see them live?
"12/07 - Melbourne - Etihad Stadium" When I saw "Etihad Stadium", I thought they were going to play for 20.000 sad people that are still moaning about the loss of something really lovely... Oh wait, it's the same thing, except not all people dress in blue for a Bon Jovi concert!
