Robert Plant returns to live action next month with a low-key warm-up show and a new band.

This Is Gloucestershire reports Plant will debut his new band, The Sensational Space Shifters, at a May 8 concert at the Gloucester Guildhall in Gloucester, England.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce Led Zeppelin frontman and award-winning solo artist Robert Plant will be performing an exclusive low-key warm-up show at Gloucester Guildhall next month," said Programming and Marketing Manager Joe Schiavon. "This is obviously a massive show for us, and we can't wait to host it."

"The show, entitled 'Robert Plant Presents Sensational Space Shifters', will be his first with his new band, ahead of a busy summer festival schedule."

The band will include members of Plant's former backing band, Strange Sensation, along with regular collaborator Justin Adams.

Move on man. Robert Plant is doing his own thing now. Led Zeppelin are done and past their prime. As much as I would love to see them, being my favourite band, it's probably best to end the legacy remembering them as they were, instead of some old men trying to relive their youth.

As much as I love Plant, he really isn't all that special without the rest of Zeppelin to back him up. And now, cue the haters.

Get over your ego and do a reunion. Jimmys up for and Jonesy either.
No Bonzo - no Zeppelin. So unfortunately, if the band can't actually reunite no more - it's better to leave it as it is.

honestly the last decent thing Plant did was Mighty ReArranger with Strange Sensation as his backing band. So since members from that are in this new band im genuinely excited

Most probably he can't sing the way he can, and many other singer can sing on higher pitch, however, didn't here any other vocalist that made a unique style of singing like he did.

Um, I thought the Band of Joy was the new band? I really couldnt care less about him going forward. The only mildly interesting thing he was involved with recently was the Krause album.
