Scars On Broadway the collaboration between System Of A Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan will perform at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California on Sunday, May 2.

The first 100 people to purchase tickets for the concert will receive a hand-numbered, limited-edition show poster.

Tickets go on sale through on Thursday, April 15 at 1 p.m.

Scars On Broadway sold just under 24,000 copies of its self-titled debut album in the United States during its first week of release to debut at position No. 17 on The Billboard 200 chart. This number represented roughly 36 percent of the 66,000 opening tally registered by "Elect The Dead", the debut solo effort from System Of A Down lead singer Serj Tankian, which came out in the fall of 2007 through the Warner Music Group.

"Scars On Broadway" has shifted 83,000 copies in the United States since its July 29, 2008 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

I remember reading that they stopped abruptly.. and resulted in a canceled tour for their debut album, they haven't been active since... this is as far as I know, although they have played a few shows here and there (small clubs and some festivals)...
What's ironic is that if the album was called 'Daron Malakian' it would probably have sold the same amount as Serj's album :S
They had to stop because Daron had some personal issues to deal with first. I'm glad they're back in action. And to "KnotParkDay"'s comment, they couldn't call it 'Daron Malakian' because he AND John are both in the band.

any SOB news is good news. self titled was ome of those rare albums that you could listen to beginning to end and not press skip once. Too bad theyre NOWHERE NEAR CONNECTICUT!
Didnt know they stopped, but good to hear that they are back. Bought their album not long ago, and its really growing on me. Hope therell be more albums from them soon.
Thank God. Hopefully they re-establish they're previous tour, I had tickets fr their Edmonton concert but it was cancelled. :c
I'd rather see System. Scars on Broadway always seemed to be a watered down System of a Down.
I doubt anyone will ever read this, but what about updating the Scars on Broadway news section and tell the people about the new 40 something second clip they put up of their new song "Guns are Loaded" and that they're coming out with a brand new album this summer! Believe me, this news would be greatly appreciated by my fellow fans of Scars On Broadway and Daron Malakian. The ones who have been living in a cave and aren't aware of this great news.
