Sharon Osbourne says she tried to keep husband Ozzy apart from Motley Crue singer Vince Neil while the bands toured together in 1984 because she didn't want her man to end up dead like Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle even though the tour ended nine months before the car crash. In his new biography, Tattoos & Tequila, Neil slates Sharon for getting in the way of his relationship with the Prince of Darkness while the Crue supported him on his Bark at the Moon US tour. Neil admits Ozzy was out of control during the tour, stealing bags, wearing dresses and snorting ants; but he believes Sharon blamed Motley Crue and took severe reprisals. He writes: "All fun screeched to a halt. We were only allowed one case of beer and bringing girls backstage was verboten. We couldn't do this and couldn't do that. We had t-shirts made up saying, 'No Fun Tour '84'. Even Ozzy's people were wearing them. "This is the most evil, sh-ttiest woman I've ever met in my life. She would have you killed if it was to her advantage. If people really knew" Sharon has responded by pointing out that Neil really did kill someone: Razzle died and two passengers in another car were seriously injured while the singer was drunk driving. She says that's why she tried to keep Ozzy away from Neil but the Bark at the Moon tour finished in March 1984, while the fatal accident took place the following December. Sharon says in a statement: "I was saddened to hear about the quote from Vince Neil's book. Vince, of course I tried to keep my husband away from you at all costs. I truly felt you were a danger to Ozzy, yourself and everyone around you. "I didn't want him to end up like Razzle, who died in a car accident because you were driving drunk; or like those two innocent people whose lives were ruined as a result of your actions. "Today I see you as a pathetic 50-year-old party boy who continues to put innocent people's lives at risk by getting behind the wheel and driving drunk, and being arrested for assaulting women. Enough said." Sharon also adds, "My husband called him and said, 'What's the problem?' and (Neil) kind of back-tracked. (It's) a case of 'I need names in this book. I need to shock.' It is sad when people do that. They want to sell you out. I think he is probably very jealous of Ozzy, but he dare not pick on him because the fans will turn on him, so he goes after me." Neil is currently being investigated for an alleged assault on a woman in a Las Vegas hotel, despite reports from the hotel that security cameras suggest the incident didn't take place. Neil will appear in court at the end of the month in relation to his latest DUI charge, after he was caught three times over the limit in Vegas in June. Thanks for the report to RockRadio.

I will take Vince's side on this one. Sharon deserves no respect when she says things like she said about Vince, like there isn't a day he doesn't feel bad for that accident.

I love the Crue but in Sharon's defence, what she said may have been taken out of context. She could merely be referring to the Crue's notorious party lifestyle and she didn't want Ozzy to end up how Razzle later did, partying with the Crue. I mean, let's be fair; it's a bloody miracle that only one person that hung out with the Crue (including the band and not including Tommy or Nikki's OD's) ended up dead.

Woman beating, drunk driving scumbag vs. Psychotic heavy metal Patriarch who started Ozzfest and salvaged one of the biggest acts in metals' career... You'd be an IDIOT to take Vince Neils side. I love Motley Crue just as much as the next person craving nostalgia, but she has a point... Vince is a washed up loser. If any of you knew enough about Ozzy or Sharon (read the book "I AM OZZY") You'd know that she is the single biggest reason why his career managed to take off after he left sabbath, thanks only to her stubbornness and professionalism. Motley Crue were just that, a "Motley Crew"

Amen. Neil is just dying to stay in the spotlight, doing whatever he can to salvage enough fame to put out another Motley Crue album. I'm with Sharon on this one, she put up with a lot of BS. I dont understand why she was able to limit those glam pretty boys in Crue to one case of beer though.

i think ur all batshit crazy. nobody should b taking sides. they r both complete idiots. neil shouldnt b drunk driving if he killed sum1 cuz of it. i kno sum1 who was killed last nite cuz of a drunk driver. so yes vince is an idiot. sharon is the reason ozzy did as wel as he did yes. but if he hadnt been famous and hadnt gotn a hold of so many drugs he mite stil b able to talk rite.

This was already known in The Motley Crue Book (The Dirt) So why she decides to ark up about it now I don't know.
exactly, who would wanna read Vince's book? he couldn't even remember words to his own songs when I saw them a few years ago. reminds me of Anchorman - "Vince killed a guy"

Waaaaa She said this about me Uh uh! He said this nasty thing about me. waaaaa Vince is an obnoxious tool. Sharon is a obnoxious non-celebrity. Both are hypocrites and neither of them are musicians (flame on Crue fans, sorry) and its like UG has become TMZ or People magazine or News of the World.

Ozzy was just as much a danger to himself, and its not like sharon was hanging out with great people, Wasint the guy flying the plane that killed her friend and randy drunk or high, he could have been on that plane. anyway sharon is all biusiness and no Rock N Roll,

I don't respect the words coming out of her mouth, but Vince really is kind of a dirt bag when you get down to it. The book should be about him and shouldn't have to profit by making s****y remarks about people he's come across. Especially when the don't even truly invoke the motivations behind those people's actions.

As much as I hate $haron, I have to agree with her on this one.

All I am saying is, sure Sharon is right but the way she said it was incredibly cruel.

I just can't get over how Sharon constitutionally used the phrase "I didn't want Ozzy to end up like Razzle." Even though that tour was before Razzle died..... Way to keep consistency there Sharon.
