Slash Joins Aerosmith Onstage for Worst 'Welcome to the Jungle' Cover Ever

Plain butchering, that's what it is.

Slash Joins Aerosmith Onstage for Worst 'Welcome to the Jungle' Cover Ever
119
Announcing their upcoming joint North American "Let Rock Rule" tour, Slash and Aerosmith took the Whisky a Go Go stage to mark the occasion in an appropriate rocking manner.

But once the guys charged through "Mama Kin," Joe Perry kicked off the "Welcome to the Jungle" riff, leading into one of the worst and most awkward live renditions of the classic track.

Apart from the band being disorganized, Steven Tyler didn't exactly figure out the lyrics. So asĀ Metal Sucks guys point out, instead of the usual "Welcome to the jungle / We've got fun 'n' games / We got everything you want / Honey, we know the names" verse, we got this:

"Welcome to the jungle / Gunnasendee-ee / Whatchugottofeeluhmove / But you wanna go back with me"

But it was all good fun and hardly anyone was offended. So while we're at it, we might as well ask you this - is it worse than the infamous 2012 "Mickey Mouse" performance by the Guns themselves? Check out the clips below and let us know, focus on the 28:50 mark in the first video.

Back to the tour, check out the full itinerary below.

That Bridge School one is epic. Axl sounds like being possessed by Towelie

Don't forget to bring a towel!

At that show, there definitely should have been a Towelie-ban.

The first video was obviously not intended to be a serious performance, so you can forgive them for that. The second one was absolutely dire, business as usual for GnR then...

Jesus Christ AXL... why does he still tour when his voice is clearly shot? That just hurts to listen to. MY throat feels sore from watching that...

Meh, you can't call this cover. They were just messing around.

Smartphones should be banned from concerts!

If smartphones bother you when you're in a concert seeing a band you like maybe you shouldn't be there at all.

Everybody thinks evrything is supposed to be perfect because most music today is nothing more than a soulless ****ing program. That's mojo, that's rock and roll!I'ts about getting together with your friends and making something.Sometimes itsounds great and sometimes it sounds like shit because it has the balls to sound like shit.Everybody knows these guys, they're proven, they've made tons of great music. One ****en mistake and some ***** with his phone out makes this post..Fuck you *****

I was expecting the cover to be more than 20 seconds. Anyway Stevent Tyler needs to shave that mustache.

If you're worried about Steven looking like a child predator, his lyrics and music videos have done that already.

Don't forget that Tyler essentially kept an underage girl with him on tour in the 70s. He somehow convinced the girl's parents to let him do it. Read that band autobiography. Very weird, Mr. Tyler.

Lol Joe just threw that one at everyone, no one was expecting it, and i thought it was pretty funny. I wouldn't really call it a cover, it was just for fun.

There's better things to discuss here such as: How much Aerosmith needs Brad Whitford. There's a missing energy without him there. Will he be on tour? Joe Perry's tone is the sound of sex. Good sex.

the first time I saw that guns video I thought it was one of those "shred" things where they were dubbing his vocals to sound awful. I soon realized it was all too real...

Trying to pick between these two is like picking between a kick in the face or a kick in the guts.

And that second video is why I would much rather a Guns reunion without Axl...

what the **** is Steven on.. I think I'd have to be absolutely hammered to enjoy that show. That way I wouldn't remember it the next day

Oh my f*cking god, listen to Axl on that second video... yeah, I don't think I'm too bothered with a GNR reunion.

It wasn't even a cover.. This was completely unplanned, they were just messing around..
    ShackledDevil
Professional musicians making a mistake that big? Jesus... You'd think 30-40+ years you'd have everything down pat.

But seriously if you listen to the song before welcome to the jungle, You can tell that their loose and stevens voice is just dogshit...
    joee75
...the scary thing is..Aerosmith were just ****ing around..Axl was serious.
