It was a matter of time before it happened. Very well deserved, Slash is the 80's/90's soul of Rock 'n' Roll.

Still waiting for Slash to release something better than his last work with Guns N' Roses. He's sadly becoming more and more cheap Hollywood act now, which is a true shame, given his influence and talent.

Never into G'n'R, always thought Slash's work on Sweet Child was great, but why does he deserve this honor? Not hating, just want to know...

Just because u arent a fan, he doesnt deserve one? he is widely known as one of the most influential guitarists on the planet, and also one of the most recognized faces in music. the guy has earned the shit, regardless of how much UG talks about him.

All of it is awesome. Do some research before you comment next time.

Dino Cazares versus Slash = Dino wins Axl rose is the only 6 foot tall guy who can throw a javelin 100 yards and play piano when he's hammered. Slash is a washed up guy who managed to score a cool image which matters to more people than his bluesy boring guitar licks.

Speaking of Charlie Sheen..... Slash keeps tweeting about Charlie's new show Anger Management..makes me wonder if the top-hatted one will be making a guest appearance And goddamnit I'd love to go to that Q&A. Slash is my favorite rock guitarist and Myles Kennedy is my favorite rock singer.

Maybe to you, but to the masses Slash is much more well known as is responsible for a lot of people picking up guitar and getting into rock music. Almost everyone has heard of Slash or knows the image. Ask people if they know who Fear Factory is and they'll think its a tv show or something. Not saying Dino is bad or anything. But when it comes to fame, Slash of course is more famous and influential and therefore deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

What about his solo album? Or his latest album with the Raconteurs (apocalyptic love)? His solo album was some of his best work by far.

You sir, should be in the bad ass hall of fame. Never before has someone stood up for what he believes in such a forthright manner. Without fear, favour or prejudice you said your piece and be damned with the consequences!

My grandma knows who Dino Cazares is and she was born in the 30's. Waaaaay more famous than Slash is. I agree that Axl Rose is one of the only guys who can throw a javelin 100 yards and play piano while totally loaded on drugs. I bet Slash can't do that.

wouldn't think so. Slash is the one of them who do stuff just to seem cool. but good for him.
