Fans who managed to catch the Keith Urban's recent intimate club show in Nashville were no doubt surprised by the unannounced appearance of a certain Aerosmith legend. As Hennemusic notes, seven minutes into his set at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on September 6th, Urban started to play the riff to ZZ Top's 1973 classic "La Grange" before making the following announcement:

"I'm going to attempt an experiment right now. I'm going to predict that if we play this riff long enough, we might find a singer in the crowd who knows how to sing this song," adding, "If you happen to be a bit of a bada-s blues legend singer, this might be your cue."

Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler then took to the stage, scatting over the riff before launching into a bluesy rendition of "Walk This Way."

Keith Urban recently replaced Tyler as a judge on American Idol. Tyler had served on the show for two seasons alongside Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson. In reference to his appearance on the program, offered the following remarks: "I want you to know that you're my favorite idol. Give JLo this for me." The singer then gestured towards kissing Urban.

money money money to them, Rip off for anyone who buys a ticket, or reads this article...these kind of bands just kill me...
wtf was that? very scarey, Tyler didn't know the words is where the "scatting" came from. Then he started singing one the songs he remembers. Don't get me wrong love Aerosmith and all but, that was a bit of injustice to ZZ top (just a bit I think)
