The Stone Roses will headline the Isle Of Wight Festival, as their only UK festival appearance in 2013.
They are the first headliners to be announced, and follow 2012 headliners Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen and Noel Gallagher.
The Stone Roses reformed in early 2012 after an influential run of albums in the 1980s and early 90s. Tickets for their reunion tour earned £12.5 million ($20 million) after selling out in record time.
They hit the headlines again in June when one of their fans, Christopher Brahney, went missing after one of their gigs. His body was found in early July from a canal in Manchester, after an appeal from his family and the band.
Beyond their Isle of Wight appearance, where tickets will be available from November 28, they will perform in Dubai, London and Glasgow, with support from Primal Scream.
