System Of A Down are asking their fans to submit setlist requests for their summer shows.

They're running a competition from Systemofadown.com, with those submitting setlist requests getting the chance to win gig tickets.

"We want to know which songs you most want to hear on the road this summer", band explained.

"As a reward for telling us your top six setlist requests, one winner from each tour city will win a pair of tickets to his/her local show. They will also win a setlist from the show they attended, signed by all of us."

The contest includes System Of A Down's upcoming headline performance at the UK's Download Festival on June 11.

The band had been on hiatus since 2006 before announcing they were getting together for 2011 gigs.

See Systemofadown.com for more information.

Thanks for the report to NME.com.

There are more like him, actually. It's not that those songs are 'bad' per se, just bad in light of the sheer brilliance of albums 1 and 2. The first 10 minutes of 'System of a Down' rocks harder than any track from Hypnotize and Mesmerize - and I love those albums.

That + more (self-centered person friendly): -They might do awesome live recordings that you could buy -If you win, you could sell your ticket -One vote can make a difference -Why not? It only takes a minute and I know you've got time since you're on UG

No need to jump the gun as Im pretty sure theres more reasons to dislike their previous 3 albums other than you "hipster mode" comment. IMO after Toxicity they had 4 songs I liked from 3 albums. Piss poor imo.

Honey would be sick dude. Temper as a interlude/rest song would be amazing. I think they should just do a repay of the Whiskey a go go '97 gig setlist. this would be ultimate.

I can't stand this band's music, but I think it's really cool that they're doing this. It's the epitome of giving the people what they want. Or they're doing it to spite MUSE, which is just as cool.
    roy.1992
i don't envy them having to sort through all the contributions. Are they coming to Chicago though?
    themetalpig
Suite-Pee, Know, Sugar, Suggestions, Spiders, War, Peephole, All of Toxicity, Innervision, Roulette, BYOB, Radio/Video. Stay away from any song off Hypnotize...enough quality material for 2 albums in 1 year my arse!

SELF. TITLED. And yes I realise it's so cliche to be like "man x band's first/second album was the best", but f*ck it. Self Titled was the best, with Toxicity coming a close second. Haters gonna hate.
