Brandon Flowers of the Killers has confirmed that he plans to release a new solo album in 2015.
The frontman released his first solo record, "Flamingo," in 2010 and is currently working with Haim and Vampire Weekend producer Ariel Rechtshaid on its follow-up.
Speaking to NME, Flowers said: "The record's not done yet, but I'm excited about it ... I'm liking it." He also admits that the album is less influenced by his hometown of Las Vegas than "Flamingo" was. "People are going to interpret it how they will, but there's only a little bit of Vegas in there."
Meanwhile, on the subject of Rechtshaid, the frontman admits that their different ways of working have led to the pair butting heads.
"He's taking me out of my comfort zone. Normally I make demos and they're pretty similar to how the song ends up. but he'll take a song and be like, 'I hear this'. It's incredible – his palette and his range, what he's able to say. At first we were butting our heads together, but now we're hitting it off."
The Killers released greatest hits album "Direct Hits" in 2013. However, fans can rest assured that Flowers has no plans to end things with the band, saying: "I wanna keep being in this band. I don't think we'll get too morbid about it, I think we wanna keep going."
