Tommy Martin, a session musician who played saxophone on tour with The Killers, has committed suicide.

The musician, 33, was found at his home in Las Vegas on Monday (April 23).

Reuters reports that he died of a self-inflicted gun-shot to the head.

Martin toured with The Killers between 2008-2009 and appears on the albums "Sam's Town" and "Day & Age".

Posting their tributes on Twitter, The Killers said: "Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth."

"Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy."

The Killers return to the UK in August to play the V Festival.

Terrible news for sure even though I never really listened to the Killers. Scary, it seems like every day or every other day a musician is dying.
Sad indeed. All the more bitter that he took his own life. Rest In Peace.
Not a Killers fan, but this is truly saddening news. RIP. What a horrible year for music, I must say...We've lost some very well-respected musicians, like Davy Jones.
Never really liked this band... But anyway, that's sad, indeed. May he rest in peace.
