Tim Lambesis' Austrian Death Machine Project Accused of Charity Ripoff

World Vision Christian charity never even heard from the band.

As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis' side project Austrian Death Machine released their new album "Triple Brutal" on April 1 after a successful online fundraiser.

Since Lambesis is facing up to nine years behind bars after pleading guilty in attempting to hire a hitman to murder his estranged wife, the future of the band remains unknown, but an interesting matter was recently brought up by Noisey.

As announced in the fundraiser, a part of the proceeds was supposed to be donated to World Vision global Christian charity organization. Although Tim's current situation made the legal side more complicated, the charity's representative claims that World Vision wasn't even contacted about the whole matter.

"Unfortunately, in this case neither Mr. Lambesis or the band approached World Vision before stating that proceeds of the record would benefit us," said the organization's senior communications officer Sheryl Watkins. "Regrettably, we've found over the years that individuals and businesses will make that claim, and not follow through. Our legal department is currently looking at the band's website to determine our next steps."

As the report further points out, Lambesis didn't respond to an email seeking comment.

Why would people even raise money for a christian charity project...
To be fair, it's a children's charity. Raising money for starving kids, etc. Which just makes him even worse, with that in mind.
