For the second consecutive year, the Toadies will host "Dia De Los Toadies," an intimate day-long concert at a remote Texas ranch. This year's event, slated for Aug. 29, will take place at Rough Creek Ranch, an 11,000-acre ranch located an hour outside of Fort Worth. Secret Machines, Bowling For Soup, Ben Kweller, Eleven Hundred Springs and The Boom Boom Box are also on the bill. Tickets are available now via Frontgate Tickets. "We got the idea last year to do an annual event at a remote Texas spot," frontman Vaden Todd Lewis explained in a press release. "Something with a different vibe than the usual club or street festival." "No Deliverance," the Toadies' most recent release and first in seven years, surfaced last summer. According to a press release, the band plans to return to the studio soon to work on a new album to be released in 2010. Thanks for the report to Livedaily.com.

These guys put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Sucks that not to many people know who they are, they desevre more credit than they get.

Seriously, I have seen the Toadies twice now in the DC area, and they rock my face off! Its very hard to explain to people why I like them because barely anyone knows anything about them except Possum Kingdom. Glad to hear that UG is giving them an article once in a while!
