Rage Against The Machine guitarist and Nightwatchman Tom Morello is set to launch his own comic book series this fall. The musician will write a book called Orchid, and the first issue will be available October 12, according to RollingStone.com. Dark Horse Comics, who also claim the "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" series and My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way's "The Umbrella Academy", is publishing the series, which stars a young street prostitute. "Orchid" is a fantasy epic set in the future that tells the story of a 16-year-old street prostitute who discovers she has a higher calling. In the fantasy epic, the main character discovers her true calling in a world of nasty animals where the rich literally eat the poor. Scott Hepburn, which has worked on "Star Wars" comics previously, will draw "Orchid"'s pages while infamous street artist Shepard Fairey will produce a collector's edition cover for the premiere issue. Thanks for the report to Bryan Wawzenek, Gibson.com and Gigwise.com.
