After Black Sabbath's rousing reunion in their hometown of Birmingham, England, guitarist Tony Iommi has admitted to nerves.

He says on the band's official website:

"I was extremely nervous beforehand about playing a long set, not knowing whether I'd be able to last. It turned out to be no problem whatsoever because Ozzy [Osbourne], Geezer [Butler] and Tommy [Clufetos] were nailing everything, no chance to feel tired!

"I'm really pleased with how it turned out, fantastic crowd and I want to say thank you to all of them for giving me such an amazing reception."

Sabbath's next two reunion stops include a concert at the U.K.'s Download Festival on June 10 and at Lollapalooza in Chicago in August.

Thanks for the report to Andrew Vaughan, Gibson.com

It's good to hear that he was feeling alright for the show. Hopefully he gets better soon so it doesn't have to be just "Ozzy & Friends."

from what i saw it was a good show bill may not of been there but its still a sabbath show it would of been more complete with bill but its still got tony fighting cancer at the front geezer busting the bass out and ozzy singing it wwas still a good show to see.

I was at the show and he played flawlessly, if he was nervous then no one would know if he hadn't said. In the middle of the gig I thought to myself, "This man has cancer right now and he is performing for me? How amazing is that??". Much respect for Tony Iommi, can't wait to see them again at Donington.

As disappointed as I was that Bill wasn't there, I have to say two things: -Tommy Clufetos is a helluva drummer. -The non-stop HUGE smile that Tony had on his face was priceless and inspiring. The Iron Man will live forever!

I like how all the idiots side with Bill Ward and his demands. Honestly, do the reunion because of the fact that your bandmate/friend might be too sick or god forbid not be here for another tour/show. Ward will regret his selfish actions if Iommi dies.

Saw some of the tunes on youtube, looked decent enough. My main complaint is Ozzy getting the crowd to do the the HEY! HEY! HEY! bs chant that he does with his shows,it just doesnt work with the Sabbath tunes.

I heared that show on Youtube and damn it Birmingham - I'm jealous at you all! That show was great!!! I wish they'll do more shows like this... It's a shame Bill Ward gave up on it because of the money, it shouldn't be involved in it. Tony, you're the iron man! still wishing you the best with that damn cancer.

But he used to do that back in the 70's too, so why wouldn't he do it now?
