Tool Add New Dates to Upcoming US Tour

Tour extended, but still no UK shows announced.

Tool have added six new live shows to their upcoming US tour. Full dates below.

The band's new shows will place in Fresno, Las Vegas, San Diego, Austin, Houston and Phoenix. There are still no UK shows confirmed, but hopes are high the band will bring their show to our shores before the end of 2014. Tool's full 2014 dates are below.

Work has begun on a brand new Tool album, with frontman Maynard James Keenan recently describing the process as "tedious," expressing his nuisance and having to wait for band members to pen music for new tracks.

"I don't write the music. They write the music," he told Rolling Stone in November 2013. "I wait for them to bring music to me. They tend to go back over and over stuff. It's a long process. For a person like me, it can be a very tedious process. In some ways, they are bigger perfectionists. But you can only help support their talent so long. They don't have to go through it 700 times. They can trust that first thought. But that's their process, so you gotta let them do it."

And is that process happening? "I couldn't tell you."

Seriously, if you're going to tour instead of writing a new album, COME TO EUROPE!
Is that Maynard James Keenan with hair?!!? WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!?
New Tool album? That's like waiting for Pringles Ridges or Metallica.
    or star wars battlefront 3
I'm honestly surprised Half Life 3 wasn't mentioned first.
At least the new battlefront has a release date. (sort of) But I can not wait for it at all. Especially if it's made by DICE.
Regarding about the new album, I think its better to have no expectations. The long wait can make us think that this is gonna be the best album since the dawn of humanity, which is the ultimate path to our disappointment. Wait it out.
I was thinking to myself yesterday, "Why is Josh Homme in the news so much recently? There haven't been nearly enough useless updates about the new Tool album." Thanks for fixing that.
I would rather see tedious Tool news than anything having to do with Josh Homo (oops, typo ) anyday
Yeah, I like Josh Homme and all but holy shit, it's annoying seeing him in the news nearly every day.
I don't really think new Tool concert dates count as "useless". Some of the Josh Homme news on the other hand... PS already got my tickets, can't wait!
I will wait as long as it takes. They have NEVER dissapointed me. I know some digress on 10,000 days. I thought it was epic, and one of their best to date. Good things come to those who wait and anything good is worth waiting for. The music corporations make us expect an album every couple years but true artistry sometimes can take a lifetime. I am always hopeful form their next release. I so repect their work, not many like them.
Tool fans are a different breed.... Going to the show in Houston, can't wait.
Going to both Austin and Houston as long as I can get tickets to Austin. Not worried about Houston selling out with 20,000 seats. I just hope we get a slightly different setlist each night. Cant wait to see what they're playing this year.
Tool is coming to Austin...I just started screaming at the person next to me, "I KNOW THE PIECES FIT CUZ TOOL IS COMING AROUND"
I missed Tool back in 06, but they're back... Fresno, CA for sure, I can't believe this!!
i better go this houston show
Toyota Center most likely wont sell out, so you should be good. You just wanna get good seats cuz the arena is HUGE and you don't wanna be upper level near the back, those seats suck. And the tickets there are relatively cheap, $45, $55, & $75 for the best seats. Used to only be $55 for all the lower levels but they raised it a bit. Still not as bad as some places, I paid over $100 for Verizon Theater in Dallas at the box office, and it wasn't even lower level.
I've missed Tool literally every time they've been in my area, ever. I'm from Oregon, and we're getting double the love on this tour, so I have more than one chance to see them (would consider heading up to Tacoma as well), but if I can't (because being poor sucks), I'll probably go postal.
Tickets already sold out a few weeks ago, head on over to craigslist or stubhub and pay the scalpers... It took me over an hour to get tickets when the Portland ones went on sale, the servers were so overloaded
These new dates aren't even on sale yet. IDK what everyone is talking about saying these are gone. The OLD dates that were announced a few weeks ago may be but these NEW dates were put on the bands site about 36 hours ago and go on sale Friday. So no, these aren't sold out, really not even on sale yet
come back to Grand Rapids MI!! gotta feed the roots that fed the Rev.M. man! we still love you up here!!
