Tool will hit the road next month for a summer arena tour, the prog-metal band's first live dates since its summer trek last year.

The group kicks off the outing June 19 in New Orleans. Highlights include dates in Houston (6/20) and San Francisco (7/12), as well as several Canadian dates, starting with a July 4 show in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Dates are shown below. Tickets go on sale May 8.

Tool's most recent studio album, "10,000 Days," surfaced in 2006, debuting at the top of The Billboard 200 and earning the group two Grammy nominations.

Meanwhile, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan continues to tackle various projects away from the band, including promoting the wine produced by his Arizona-based Stronghold Vineyards, which he co-founded in 2007.

"It's not a side project," Keenan said of his foray into the wine industry during a 2008 interview with LiveDaily. "This is my future. I'm not The Rolling Stones. I'm not going to tour forever. It's my legacy."

No dates near me. Oh well. I saw them on last summer's tour and it was an amazing performance and something I will never forget. I'm sure this year will be great too. Hopefully they will expand the set list this year.

Thes tour dates suck! I hate when band go to like, four states with three stops in each state or something. But yes they should definitely come to Portland!

He's not a fool, that's all there is to it. I'm wouldn't be surprised if this next album is their final one. And if you paid any attention, you'd see that quote was taken from LiveDaily in 2008.

I know right. That's so disappointing because they played in my hometown of Evansville a few years ago and i missed it. It was the worst decision I have ever made...

Either I'm off to New Orleans or I'm missing the concert... Yep, I'm off to New Orleans this June. Never seen Tool live, but I've been a fan since I was 7 and anyone I've ever met whose been to a show has called it a Religious Experience.

The edmonton show sold out in practically 1 minute. That is, actually, just the lower bowl and floor admission. But whatever.

You're just upset because he isn't a cofeee connoisseur, Mr. Seattle. I'd buy his wine. Matter of factly, I'd even take communion with that while listening to Opiate.

F*** man, I need an implant that tells me when TOOL is touring two weeks before their tickets go on sale... They sell out in literally 5 minutes... But, I did just drop 700 dollars on Roger Water The Wall Live Tickets for November WOOOOO!!!! But really, I want to see TOOL sooooo bad.

Tool is a must-see live, for sure! Wish they would come around the Kentucky/Ohio area. Saw them in Cincy last year, right before Lolla. It was pure amazing!

It still surprises me that they still come through Houston. Supposedly we really pissed them off a few years back when they toured with Tricky and all the corn-fed hillbillies at the show boo'ed him the whole time.

Saw them twice on the 10,000 days tour - both shows were different yet equally epic - these guys MUST be experienced live, you dont just see them - you join them on a musical journey for the 90+ minutes they play.
    Unholy Crusada
God damn it! Come to DC! I could see it now: Tool live at the Verizon Center! Come on, I wanna see more tour dates ASAP.
