Led Zeppelin will release new deluxe editions of their 1971 album "Led Zeppelin IV" and its 1973 follow-up "Houses of the Holy."

Rolling Stone reports (via NME) that the new reissues will include the original albums remastered by guitarist Jimmy Page, as well as previously unheard audio from the band's archives including alternate mixes of "Rock and Roll," "Misty Mountain Hop "and "D'Yer Mak'er."

Due to release on October 28, both albums will be available to purchase as a single album or vinyl LP, a deluxe double LP, or as a digital download. Also released will be a super deluxe box set, which features the CDs, LPs, a download card and a special 80 page hardbound book. Last month, similar reissues of the band's first three studio albums were released.

In May, Page revealed that he was "fed up" with singer Robert Plant for delaying a potential band reunion. Led Zeppelin last played together in December 2007 at London's 02 Arena, but Plant has dismissed the possibility of another reunion any time soon.

"I was told last year that Robert Plant said he is doing nothing in 2014, and what do the other two guys think? Well, he knows what the other guys think. Everyone would love to play more concerts for the band. He's just playing games, and I'm fed up with it, to be honest with you. I don't sing, so I can't do much about it," said Page.

I've got a feeling that they might release Physical Graffiti next
It will include expanded version of 'In my time of Dying'? Haha
This bunch of reissues are well worth it!! Put on some good headphones and compare some of the old double "Remasters" album songs to the new remasters coming out and you'll hear that they are way better again!
I'm SO happy Page has been involved in pretty much every significant Led Zeppelin mastering project from day 1. You can really tell the material gets the respect and quality treatment it deserves
He is a rare musical genius. Not just skilled at making it but also at recording it and putting it all together. He's like a painter who makes his own paint and canvas and designs the buildings his paintings are displayed in.
I hope we get alternate takes/solos on the greatest song of Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand.
Not a fan of remastered records. Original is mostly the best. Bob Ludwig's Original-Mix for Whole Lotta Love, btw. Listen with a good soundsystem -> Boner
Bob "BRICKWALL" Ludwig? Lol thanks for the laugh bro. Jimmy Page did these reissues right. Bob Ludwig wrecks everything he touches, he's the king of the Loudness War.
Can't wait. In my opinion, Led Zeppelin's best work was between Untitled and Presence, and I'm hoping that Physical Graffiti gets a re-release too. I believe Page said he had intentions of re-mastering all the Led Zeppelin studio albums, and the re-releases sold well so we should get at least to Presence.
Agree on their best period being Untitled/IV/Zoso/Zep 4/their 4th albun through Presence. Logically he'll fire out every album including Coda, they were never a band to stick to public demand
Hope theres more demos/outtakes on these, was a little disappointed that it was hyped for months to have all this bonus material which turned out to be rough mixes of the exact same takes we've heard a billion times.
I don't mind the new re-re-releases. I bought Zep 1 and compared it to previous releases, and I like the new release better. The previous ones sound brash without enough bottom end. Jimmy's mix sounds a little more balanced. I'm not saying I'll be replacing all of the tracks I already own, but just the albums/songs I listened to the most.
Two more albums to have no dynamic range and milked for everything it's got.
The first 3 weren't as raw as the CDs I already had, so they weren't as fun to play to still had a better sound quality, and obviously the bonus tracks were a massive plus! Can't wait for these next 2 - the untitled one is possibly my all-time favourite album
