gStrings does just fine for me. And it's free. So helpful in guitar stores when you pick up a guitar that for whatever reason is crazy out of tune.

I have a free one from the android market called DaTuner and it's slick and tunes perfectly. Also it includes all different tunings instead of the basic EADGBE tuning which most android tuners limit you to basics.

Or you just find a basic line 6 amp with a tuner plug it in, tune up, take the plug out, plug into that Marshall JVM410H and wail away.
