Click here to listen to November 14 BBC Radio interview with Jimmy Page (photo), who attended Led Zeppelin's UK Music Hall Of Fame induction ceremony London's Alexandra Palace. Also present were members of the Bonham family (Patricia and Deborah). Page mentions plans to record some new material next year: "I'm going to start up in the New Year. It's an album that I need to get out of my system... there's a good album in there and it's ready to come out." Wolfmother performed a tribute to Led Zeppelin at last night's ceremony, which also featured a Dusty Springfield tribute, courtesy of Patti Labelle. Brian Wilson and Joss Stone were also slated to perform. Artists that have previously been inducted include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

Jimmy Page is by far one of the most skilled and greatest guitarist in Rock'n'Roll history. If he ever went on tour I would almost pay anything to see him.

OMG! Everyone needs to watch this video. Jimmy Page ****s up the solo so bad that it's depressing. Kind of funny and sad at the same time.

they should have been in as soon as they were eligable.. im the biggest Led Head i know, but i know that Jimmy now isnt Jimmy in 72'. i think i would be disappointed in his preformance. i still love the guy and think he is Zeus incarnate.

Good old Jimmy's getting on, but i'm keen to hear if he's still got the stuff. Always been a fan of his playing and his ability to craft a song, so one would expect good things from this album.

yo fronkpies, your silly, saying that jimmy cant play any more, thats just lame. les paul is like 93 and has no movement in his left hand, his fret board hand. and ive seen him play sure he isn't technically amazing, but he still puts on an awesome show, showing of his musicallity now if jimmy page dispite having artharitis (which he has had since he was very young) can write an album then he would still be playing great. hell les paul is proof no matter how old you are, or how much movement you have in your hand you can still be an awesome player, but more so an awesome musician. SO THERE JIMMY IS GOD!!! so is les paul! i hope you know enough about music to know that there is actually a guy called les paul, and its nto just a guitar that he invented btw i have tourettes syndrome so if you notice any mistakes its cos i was shaking lots lol. so dont bag me. lol oh well mozart had tourettes syndrome

To ALL! OF THE MOTHA! F UKAS! saying the Jimmy Page hasn't "got it" any more. . . First of all, one doesn't just lose "it" after being part of one of the greatest rock bands in history for over a decade, influencing literally every rock band/guitarist after him, and(most importantly) developing a distinctive guitar technique that incorporates styles like blues, celtic/bluegrass, and eastern music. Second , that thing that everyone keeps calling Page's "sloppyness", its called STYLE. His style might not consist of perfectly executed notes and timing 100% every second, like some doosch (ie. Steve Vai) who wont play anything infront of an audience before he can play it 21 times in a row with no mistakes. I think Page is more concerned with the feeling of his music than he is with being a damn robot on the guitar. Finally ,(Mainly for fronkpies and halffast) just because you managed to find a single video on the internet of a Page screwing up one solo of a song doesn't mean he plays like that all the time. Maybe he was wasted, maybe he hadn't warmed up, maybe he didn't want to bust out the insanely devastating solo without the chemistry of John Bohnam. Have you seen any other f'n video of him? How the West was Won? The Song Remains the Same? The self-titled DVD? I've yet to see, or hear, anything but divine music from him. I'm sure you couldn't touch his performance in that video for a sec. I mean seriously who tells/wants Jimmy Page to "give up"? Should B.B. King give up, he's old. If Hendrix were alive, would you tell him to give up? You should glorify Page with every word u write on here. Disrespectin like that. pshhh. . . give up? what is that? Plus it is possible he aquired his powers from Satan, and a deal w/ the devil never expires. http://victorian.fortunecity.com/updike/...

Wow... He looks so old, all the videos and pictures of him were from the 60s, 70s and 80s... And now, wow.

Jimmy may not be as good as he once was, but who is? Good job Zeppelin for getting inducted, and I'm looking forward to new material. He is my inspiration as a guitarist, and I think he is great. But wow, he age is really showing now.

is it just me or does he look chineese in that picture? lol. Onto the news, i cant believe it took them this long to induct them into the UK hall of fame. Oh well, Led Zepplin friggin rock. S'all is well

ok well im goin to have a stroke now..... MY GOD please come to the usa ill fly any where in the us to see him

Why cant their be only one rock and roll hall of fame, when theres multiple it just diminishes the inductees greatness.

I don't get how people call him sloppy. I mean, dude, those solos and riffs.. damn. Maybe it's the fact that when on stage, he made it look so easy [which I am terribly very irritated at x_x] when in fact it takes a lot of musicianship to get it right. Then guitar skills; but why sloppy? Anyways; so uhh.. Wolfmother hadn't performed yet? but still, what are they going to perform anyway? o_0; He does look incredibly Asian now, in that pic.

He has proven that he doesnt need Zeppelin to sound good. Just listen to Coverdale/Page's self-titled album. Good stuff.

Dude, you forget to add Bron-Yr-Aur (both Stump and the instrumental).. it was really good. I've heard others try to cover it, but it ended up truly bad - you can't even recognize that it's Bron-Yr-Aur they're covering! [No offence to Coheed and Cambria's version though, I love the band really]

Lol! it's okay, it was hilarious really. Can't you guys tell that by my username I'm a female? ; Anyways, long story short.. I love Jimmy.

Same thought goes into the head of other appreciators of Led Zep; might probably because they created that hall of fame stuff a little too late [for them to get inducted when they were in their prime.]

Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarist ever and this album should be awesome. I hope he comes to my town. It probably won't be as good as Zep but I'll buy his albums no matter what. He rocks. And Zepplin should have been inaugurated into the Rock n' Roll hall of fame waaaaay earlier.

JIMMY PAGE IS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER! PAY THE MAN RESPECT! HIS IDEA WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!! JIMMY YOU ARE THE ICON AND NO ONE WILL EVER BE LIKE YOU! BELIEVE THIS CD WILL BE GREAT!

Hallelujah! One of the best things about Jimmy Page is when he's playing live; he's not afraid to take a risk and probably improvise most solos and lenghten them. Well, I guess most of the band members of Led Zep improvise. But anyways; I worship Led Zep and Jimmy Page more than I ever thought I'd worship any God or religion. Wait, Led Zep are Gods!

What a selective clip on your part. First of all, we're talking about Jimmy Page now, not 20 years ago. This clip is not recent, it's from 1988 and it is widely known as one of the worst gigs of his entire career. I've seen Page play many times in recent years, notably with Plant and the Black Crowes. Page's live playing is currently better than it has been at any time since the mid 70's.

The album might be good. Nobody is expecting a zeppelin II or a physical graffiti, but at the very least it should be better than any of the trash poseurs like wolfmother are excreting.

page has always been pretty sloppy, but hes still a great player hes pretty much what made me start playing guitar in the first place p.s. anyone else think he looks extremely asian now?
    ZOSOGuitarist01
'bout time. i remember reading the interview with him and jack black and he was talking about making a new album and that was last Christmas sorta.
    Galvatron
Non zeppelin Jimmy Page music really isnt to hot,i think jimmy sold his soul back in the day for a good run on top,now you see him and he looks as old as yoda and he is sweating his balls off just doing some basic strumming
    Gutch220
That would be cool if he just threw down a bunch of new material he has been working on, there's nothing wrong with that. It would probably be good. also he would probably go on tour or something so I would go see him

Well this is the second year for the UK Hall of Fame, so it hasn't taken them that long to induct Led Zep. The public voted on the first inductee's last year.
