Serious illness seems to have put the new album from the classic rockers on hold, but there's hope it will continue later in 2012.

The forthcoming AC/DC album has been put on hold after a member has been secretly nursing what seems to be a serious illness.
"One of the boys is a little sick and I can't say anything, but he's getting better," frontman Brian Johnson told The Cowhead Show (via HenneMusic). "He's doing wonderful. Full recovery fully expected."
The band hopes to continue recording later in the year when the particular member is feeling better. If anything, the band will be grateful just to continue, after feeling in the past that they wouldn't last much longer.
"It's a wonderful thing when we get in a room," says Brian. "Whenever the boys get back together, I get all excited. The boys, after a while, pick the guitars up, Phil [Rudd] will make his way to the drums, Cliff [Williams] will pull his bass out and then all of a sudden this noise comes out and I sit there with just this big old grin on my face. It's pretty cool."
Last year, Johnson had to cancel a solo tour after having to undergo surgery. HenneMusic report that he will have to undergo wrist surgery following the Rolex 24 endurance race at Daytona International Speedway at the end of January. He is raising to raise $1 million for pediatric cancer through his "Highway To Help" text campaign.
