Musician Adam Anthas announced he is currently working on his first record in 15 years and that an ex-Oasis member plays on it.
The album titled Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar In Marrying The Gunner's Daughter is expected to feature an unnamed member of Oasis along with other artists such as former 3 Colours Red guitarist Chris McCormack, songwriting partner Marco Pironni and Morrisey's writing partner Boz Boorer. Ant stated the album is "live record that lends itself to performance" and will feature a "very old fashioned, old school" concept.
Once the frontman of Adam And The Ants, the singer said he is also considering working on a few demos from early parts of his career.
"[There are] literally about a hundred songs done on a four-track and I use them whenever I can," said Ant. "There was a whole album before Dirk Wears White Sox that never really came out, but I've still got the masters."
Ant also noted he has recorded a tribute song to the late Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren. The track "Who's A Goofy Bunny Then?" was only available as a demo in the 1980s' but now the singer wants to re-record it and release a new version.
"Malcolm was a sort of mentor in my life," he said. "As close as you can get to a surrogate father."
