Aphex Twin has hit out at Kanye West, Gigwise reports.

In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Richard D. James commented on West's "Blame Game," which sampled Aphex Twin's "Avril 14th" from 2001's "Drukqs."

He notes: "Is it a sample? I actually don't know what it ended up being in the end.

"I'm so slack. I know that he tried to f--king rip me off and claim that he'd written it, and they tried to get away with not paying."

Despite not being official previews, it appears four tracks from the record have been performed by Aphex Twin in the past, just under different names.

"4 bit 9d api+e+6" was allegedly performed at an ATP performance in 2007, while "2010 XMAS_EveT10 (thanaton3 mix)" was performed live in 2010 (here as "Metz"), check out both videos below.

"Syro" is Aphex Twin's first album in 13 years, and will be released on 22 September via Warp Records.

Never listened to Aphex Twin, but anyone who publically slams Kanye West is okay in my book! Hell, I'm going to check them out when I get home! What are some of the best Aphex Twin songs?

Honestly just check out the Richard D James album (the one with the famous creepy face on it) - theres a bit of everything on there. Or if you prefer the chilled side of things go for Selected Ambient Works.

I'd recommend Come To Daddy for beginners

Yeah I've heard a lot of people say that. Personally I don't like Come to Daddy (the song) at all, it really annoys me for some reason, despite loving pretty much everything else from Aphex Twin. But yeah that's where most peoples journeys start, its probably the more logical starting point.

Honestly check out: Come to Daddy, Alberto Balsam, Flim, IZ-US, vordhosbn (!!!!!), Rhubarb. In this way you'll get a kind of overview of the different genres he made Hope it helps

Windowlicker is my personal favorite, but I also love Kanye so you might not want to take my word for it
