Beck to Release Music Version of 'Song Reader,' Featuring Jack White, Jarvis Cocker and Jack Black

Music sheet album gets not only sound version, but famous guest appearances.

Ultimate Guitar

Back in 2012, Beck released "Song Reader," an album composed entirely of sheet music that could only be heard through performance. Since then, Beck has staged three different concerts, where he and a cavalcade of special guests performed the material live.

Now, he's finally ready to offer a companion album of recorded music. And it will feature a number of big names in music.

As Future Heart reports (via Consequence of Sound), "Song Reader" will feature tracks performed by Jack White, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Laura Marling, Norah Jones and Eleanor Friedberger, as well as Beck himself. Actor/musician Jack Black also contributed to the project (surely the first time Jack White and Jack Black appear on the same record).

Below, check out the full tracklist (via Direct Current).

Song Reader arrives officially on July 29th via Capitol Records. Pre-orders are ongoing via Amazon.

"(surely the first time Jack White and Jack Black appear on the same record)" Damn, I wanted to make that joke. Probably too obvious though.
They were in a movie together a few years ago.
two different scenes though Walk Hard, Jack White as Elvis, and Jack Black as Paul McCartney for some reason. Both scenes were equally hilarious
This is [b]wrong: (...) Beck released "Song Reader," an album (...) This is [b]right: (...) Beck released "Song Reader", an album (...) Mind the position of the comma. Whoever writes these articles makes the same mistake every time, which must mean he doesn't know about it.
In the United states, punctuation goes inside the quotation marks. He/she probably learned to write in the United States.
Also, whenever I use bold, a space character is inserted at the end of the word. Then I have to edit just to fix that. Please fix!
