Between The Buried And Me have inked with Metal Blade Records who plan to release the band's new album, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues, in April.

"We are delighted in the opportunity to join the Metal Blade family," commented BTBAM guitarist Paul Waggoner.

"Their commitment to heavy music over the years is inspiring and we look forward to becoming a part of the ever-growing legacy of the label. Our new release, titled "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" will hit the streets in April. We are confident that our dedicated fans will appreciate it and hopeful that we will gain the attention of some new ears as well. In closing, I'd like to reference a quote from the illustrious Joe Dirt: "Life's a garden, dig it."

Further details on The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues will be made available soon.

The LP will contain the first new music from Between The Buried And Me since the release of 2009's The Great Misdirect, which landed at #36 on the Billboard Top 200 in its first week of release.

Thanks for the report to antiMusic.com.

Clearly you haven't listened to Backwards Marathon. You should, he really shows a lot in this song. I like his vocals myself, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

It's still an EP, it was just a mistake on some other person's behalf. Apparently Tommy said 'It's still half an hour of music'. Which I'm still very happy with

Listen to his solo album Pulse under the name Thomas Giles. He's a more than capable vocalist.

People judging tommy as a vocalist are ****in hilariously ignorant. Everyone's got their style, he's come a long way

Been a fan of BTBAM forever and I can honestly say Tommy is average at best. And his lyrics are godawful. But it's metal, vocals/lyrics should be the last thing you critique. And don't bother crying to me about calling them metal, you and MA are not going to win.

Officially, it's a LP. But Btbam considers it an EP since it's *only* half an hour long. That's still considered a LP by usual music standard.

I'm so stoked for this, even though TGM wasn't quite up there with Colours and Alaska, for me. I've been at least able to appreciate their combined genius, in the material I can't quite get into, and I know they won't disappoint me, with whatever they come up with.

Actually, Will Goodyear (their original drummer) was credited for clean vocals on the s/t album, so i'm going to assume that's him on Aspirations. I know the part you're talking about, and the voice sounds nothing like Tommy's voice, leading me to believe it was from another member.

I was that way for awhile. I eventually warmed up to it, i don't think any other singer could front this band.

Also, while I love this band, that is one of the worst album titles I've EVER heard. It makes them sound like a bad '70s prog band writing terrible concept albums about their cats.

I actually kind of agree with this. He is not awful vocalist but his screams are so monotone that it gets boring after a while in my opinion. Still looking very much forward to this though.

I'll definitely check this one out. I love putting on a really nice pair of headphones and listening to a BTBAM album in one sitting. I'm hoping for a little more vocal diversity. I got kind of bored with the vocals on the Great Misdirect.

Wait, they're coming out with a new album already? Seems like it wasn't very long. Either way this can be good or bad news. I wasn't very impressed with The Great Misdirect. Way too proggy for my taste, though I do like the first three songs. Hopefully it'll be less progressive and more like Alaska.

I actually have to disagree to an extent. I've watched Colors live and I don't think Tommy's vocals were tampered with at all. Secondly, I wouldn't mind some more singing and less screaming on the new album, sure flame me for not being all hardcore like you guys but I think that Tommy's clean vocals are better than listening to him scream for 20 minutes on a single track. Just my opinion.

Obviously I'll still buy it, but...

That's funny because in Colors Live he nailed the high note in Backwards Marathon, which would have been tampered if anything.

I'm excited. Sounds awesome but I wanna hear more/see them headlining.
