With the May 15 premiere of the new Black Sabbath track, "End of the Beginning," during the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" season finale merely a few days away, metal icons have decided to report from the filming set.
In a 3-minute clip, the band described their behind the scenes experience, with actor Ted Danson also giving his input.
"It's my first Black Sabbath concert. How cool is that?" Danson said.
Bassist Geezer Butler revealed himself as a great CSI fan, admitting that he has been following the series from the very beginning. "I've watched every episode since it started, 'cause I like crime stuff, and it was realistic," Geezer said.
"I'm not an actor," singer Ozzy Osbourne chipped in. "It's like a hurry-up-and-wait. When you see it on TV, it's all done, but when you're filming, there's a lot of stuff going on. It's been a long time, but the wait has been well worth it, 'cause the album is really good. I'm really pleased with the outcome.
"It's good fun and it's a good way of telling people that we're back together, you know?"
The song itself is a part of the upcoming Black Sabbath release "13." Set to drop on June 11 via Vertigo/Universal Records, it will become the first record to feature Osbourne handling the vocal duties since 1978's "Never Say Die." According to the singer himself, the new album is "a masterpiece."
"End of the Beginning" was previously premiered live during a New Zealand performance last month, while the band already has a confirmed global tour at their hands, with shows stretching all the way until the end of year.
