Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Buckethead will release a set of albums, entitled "In Search Of The", on February 21. While not much is known about this collection, it has been confirmed that there are a total of thirteen albums that have each been personally numbered and monogrammed by Buckethead himself, reports Blabbermouth.net. According to musician/producer and frequent Buckethead collaborator Travis Dickerson, "This is not a regular CD. It's hand-made, hand-burned. The cover is whatever is deemed to be written on it. This is not a manufactured deal; each one is different and will be numbered and monogramed. No two of these will be the same. I have never heard of an artist doing something like this. This is as direct from the artist to the fan as I have ever heard of. "As far as the content, I don't know, but the mystery around it is no surprise. Again, I can't speculate because I don't want to mislead anyone, I just don't know anymore. My gut sense is this is a conceptual work, a piece of art. It could contain anything." Each CD can be purchased separately for $20, while the entire 13-volume collection is available for $200. For more information, click here.

I'm sorry, but Slash doesn't even come ANYWHERE close to possessing the same amount of talent and skill as Buckethead. Understandably, you're a kid and don't really understand true greatness, given a couple more years Slash may not be your favourite anymore. Not trying to badmouth Slash, because he's great too, just not as great as Buckethead.

I forgot to mention how incredibly stoked I would be to get one/some/all of these. Sound's like collectors items. Not only is he a musical genius but marketing as well Long Live Buckethead.

His story would lead you to believe that he would be a pretty disturbed dude, however; timid and just wanting to be accepted. Either way you percieve him, you can't deny his skill, talent, and utter greatness.

That's kinda what he aims for...Brian collins (buckethead without the bucket) is a pretty normal guy. Buckethead is just a stage thing.

i've always thought it to be an awesome idea for an artist to possibly sign a few of the cds that go into production. This is amazing. I love Buckethead

...btw. Why is this not the top story? Fall Out Boy and all of those other bullshit artists get to be front page while BucketHead needs to be searched? Shame on you UG.

ive never listened to buckethead before, ive always been put off by the whole bucket on his head and chicken thing i think. this is absolutely amazing, i know he has done loads of albums before, but releasing 13 at once? thats insane. and marking every copy himself??? thats gonna take him ages, but it makes the cds somewhat more personal. im going to have to get some of his albums.
