CKY has completed mixing its fourth album, entitled "Carver City", for a May 19 release via Roadrunner Records. As with all their previous efforts, "Carver City" was produced by the band's guitarist Chad I Ginsburg. The CD was recorded at Studio CIG in the band's home state of Pennsylvania and mixed by Ginsburg and Phil Nicolo at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Some of the eleven tracks set to appear are "Hellions On Parade", "The Boardwalk Body", "And She Never Returned", "Karmaworks" and "Woe Is Me".

Singer Deron Miller comments: "Literally all the things that have been keeping CKY strong since our last album the undying hardcore support of our fans, our unorthodox musical approach and a brand new partnership with Roadrunner Records have restored an enthusiasm within our band that has never been this extreme. Sobriety, hard work, patching up inner turmoil and a love for what we do has undoubtedly made this the most collaborative and focused CKY effort to date."

Ginsburg concurs: "The album is more inventive and more layered than our past releases, with the most melodies, textures and riffs of any CKY album. It is by far the most inspired album we have ever made."

According to Miller, "Carver City" carries with it a "dark summer vacation vibe," nostalgic of the band members' childhood trips to the East Coast beaches. "The fabled town of Carver City has a history of bad luck and misfortune, all the while giving the impression that it's a pleasant family getaway. Much like CKY's town of Hellview, Carver City's events are depicted in the songs, with story lines coming from real-life events."

CKY is planning to tour in support of its Roadrunner debut in the spring.

Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

    atthedrive-thru : this band is so sh*t
Nice name douche. cky has to be one of the most musically original bands out there. Can't wait for the new album.

AACBF doesn't suck, its just a little different. This album is going to kick ass. CKY is such an amazing band. They do stuff how they want, make great, original sounding music, and care about their fans. Anyone that thinks sucks simply can't comprehend the sweet sounds of CKY. I really don't get why so many people say they suck. I guess with so much emo music and all those sh*tty bands that sound the same, they don't know what a real band sounds like anymore.

He has worked with them making music videos in the past but other than that he has nothing to do with the band.
I thought his brother was in the band?

its almost impossible to replicate I love CKY, like i was never a hardcore fan but they have some serious killer songs. and so many people are mixing up Jackass with the actual CKY series. Bam is friends with the guy who are in the CKY series so he is in some of those videos (which are hilarious).

Amazing band. And "all you need is an octave pedal"...haha. Sometimes reading things and then trying them out are two different things. If you have tried to get a tone that unique with JUST an octave pedal and think you did, I recommend ear surgery or brain surgery. Or both. CKY make the most amazing and unique albums I own and are great live. Looking forward to this.

i haven't listened to CKY in years...i'll pick this album when it comes out to see if they're as good as i remember them being.

their guitar style is actually very easy to replicate, not that anybody should but its possible all you need is an octave pedal. but i don't think anybody would because if they even try it everyone's automatically going to know its a cky rip off, similar what happened with earshot back in 2001-2002ish. does anybody remember earshot? thats because they were the biggest tool ripoff ever and everyone saw right through it. anyways can't wait to hear this album i love cky anybody that doesn't like them simply bc the drummer is related to bam....well, your loss there is nothing to hate about this band unless your some emo kid. and deron's voice is really sketchy live and it doesn't sound like the album but i think of it as an alternative to the album version of the song, its something different and i still think they're amazing live. one of the best live bands you can see today i think they're up there with flogging molly and gogol bordello

Yeah, but that still doesn't mean he has a lot to do with CKY. As far as Jackass goes, CKY series?? Jackass.

please back that up with a decent critique and then people may take you seriously. Yeah, they're so "shit" that they have a world wide fanbase and are on Roadrunner Records. Get a grip, geezer.

Bam created the CKY series, the first was for the skateboard wheel company 'Landspeed' and then he made 3 more videos. As people pointed out, Deron Miller came up with the name, and as Bam's bro Jess was in the band- he used a lot of their tunes. Jackass is more of a spinoff from CKY, and he is in both.

FearBefore, i agree with it sounding more mature, its a good album but personally, i dont think its their best. and to the thing about bam.. the drummer in cky (jess margera) is bams brother. Bam has directed the majority of ckys videos or something like that; so he is involved with the band.

To whoever said AACBF sucks, I disagree. You probably wont care, but I think it was a more mature effort by the band. To whoever said CKY suck live, get the hell off my planet. I've seen them live, I've seen well over 100 other bands too, from Slipknot to AC/DC. Green Day to Megadeth. Point being; CKY are by far in the top 3 live bands I have seen. Doesn't mean they are a better band than AC/DC for example, but for a live show, they blow them so far out of the water. This CD has my attention, that's for sure.

actually CKY is both an actual band and part of Bam Margera's crew on Viva La Bam. that's why they always say like Team CKY versus like Phil or something
