Fall Out Boy Name Elton John and 'Courtney, B-tch' as the New Album Guests

After recently revealing the cover of their forthcoming "Save Rock And Roll" album, American rockers Fall Out Boy have decided to give fans some new info regarding the guests featured on the new release. With several previous hints about a special blonde vocalist appearance, Courtney Love was officially confirmed as one of the guest singers alongside pop legend Elton John. After the bassist Pete Wentz has asked fans on Twitter to guess the name of the blonde guest that will join Elton John, the band itself replied by saying "It's Courtney, b-tch." Apart from Love and John, rapper 2Chainz is also featured as one of the guests on the "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)" track, a previously released first single and a video from the forthcoming record. In a recent interview last month, Wentz has honestly admitted that he "didn't think people would care" about the Fall Out Boy coming back, adding that the band is "having reunion sex" at the moment, with everything going much better than expected. "When we got on stage in Chicago, it was crazy. It was a rush, because we honestly didn't think people would care, and that's the truth. But it felt like we didn't miss a beat. We're having the reunion sex, so like it's so awesome that we don't have to bring in the whips yet." The album itself is set for an April 15 release via Island Records. As a follow-up to 2008's "Folie A Deux," it will become the group's first studio effort in almost five years and a fifth one in total.

When I read the headline, I thought it said "It's Courtney B-tch" not "Courtney, b-tch" Its too early to read...

And STILL nobody gets the irony of the album title...

I guess it's just us Coheed fans that are good at reading into things very well eh?

Half of being a Coheed fan is reading too much into things.

Like how your screen name is an obvious play on "good eye sniper" and you are actually Claudio Sanchez? 'sup, Claude!

Whether the title is intended to be ironic or not a band that collabs with 2-chains it not the kind of band I want to listen to

Okay, I really didn't tag along to the hate on the new FOB record, I used to like some their music when I was in my teens but this? Fuck this.

I'm not a fan of Courtney Love like most people, but Elton John is dam good!

If they think Rock and Roll needs saving they are very naive. There a tons of great rock bands old and new out there all who are better than Fall Out Boy. Courtney Love and 2chainz? Might as well get Lil Wayne to do a solo for one of their songs.

Trying to not pay much attention but this was in a past article in Pete Wentz words: "So I was thinking about some of our past features (ones that stuck with me): Jay-Z, Brendon Urie, John Mayer (guitar), Debbie Harry, Lil Wayne, and Elvis Costello. The features that we have on 'Save Rock And Roll' will be just as diverse - we are fans of all different kinds of music and the features will reflect that. If anything we have gone farther..."

I mean damn, they really really on some shitty guest "musicians"...aside from Costello.

to be fair john mayors is a beast on guitar and has a beautiful voice, however I believe his talent to swollen ego ratio can easily match up to the others on that list although it'll be a while before anyone beats J-Zs record.

I just read what I wrote Im not sure what I was trying to say...time to take my meds..

Their idea of diversity seems to be that of a 14-year old girl. "I like a little bit of everything, I'm so diverse!" while never bothering to look any deeper than a scratching-the-surface level depth. Sure you like 10 different genres of music, but you like the worst of the worst out of each of those genres.

I actually couldn't get that 2Chainz song out of my head for days, so I guess i kinda liked it. Bring on the downvotes...

Way to piss all over your legacy bros. :/ I was about 13 when I first heard of these guys and even as a young adult, I can still appreciate everything pre Folie a Deux, but this is just dreadful... what a horrible way to go. Seriously, if Joe and Andy could leave to record another The Damned Things album, that'd be great.

I was unfamiliar with The Damned things so I Googled them. Not what I was expecting. This deserves a listen.

I agree with the first comment... I loved the old stuff, when they were close to rock. But this album, the title, the guests, it doesn't fit... Save Rock n' Roll? I agree with some1 elses comment, they're destroying it. It's not like there aren't any good rock musicians still out there who could colab with these guys to at least support the album name...

Actually, if it weren't for Limp Bizkit I might not be listening to Machine Head, Metallica, Manson, etc. For them to take genres that are very popular and mix them with diluted rock may not do it for rock fans but for fans of pop and rap this sugar coated dildo of a band may even come off as slightly 'heavy' I thought Nookie was heavy. Point is if it gets them into rock and exploring other bands its an investment. In 2-3 years they'll abandon the shilty fallout boy and start listening to Zeppelin, Floyd, Hendrix, Sabbath, Skynyrd and work their way forward most likely or start forward & work their way back. Kicking it off with some Nirvana or Metallica... Or maybe some blink because its closer in style, then afi into offspring into bad religion into casualties into sex pistols... It's not a bad thing to have people discover rock music. FOB isn't made for us. It's made for them.
    CydoniaKnight95
This guy gets it But that might only have been true when FOB wasn't this shitty At least their older stuff was decent and rock-ish, even though I was never a huge fan

I like a good bit of their songs, but I have a feeling this album is going to blow. This however is based on little. They don't literally mean that they are saving rock and roll with the album title.
    Bazz22
They're deluded if they think that having 2Chainz and Courtney Love is gonna "save" Rock n' Roll.
    Rands2113
Does anyone think they'd tour with Foo Fighters and play the song Courtney is on?
    Portugeezer31
Anybody want to put money on Courtney suing FOB in 10 years, and a possibly Patrick Stump suicide?
    Thrice Capades
Trying to bite my tongue on how much I thought they sucked before, because clearly they've got some clout/talent to get Sir Elton John on their team. That being said...if you're going to do something as awesome and classy as bringing in Elton John, don't go and screw it up by letting a barely-talented, disease-riddled, f*ck up taint your album. Just some professional advice from somebody who wouldn't let Courtney Love in his album if she paid me.
    Shawn1379
I don't get people complaining about FOB featuring 2 Chainz on their new single because... well, he's NOT featured on their new single. It's perfectly fine if you don't like the band, but the ignorance here is crazy. He's only in the video. His voice doesn't appear in any part of the song whatsoever. You may as well complain that James Hetfield and Britney Spears are featured because they're as much part of that song as 2 Chainz. It just goes to show the sort of mindset some people have. Hate first and ask questions later. It's a shame, really...

Dosent anyone on the UG team know how to use photoshop or something. Its no use censoring stuff if it glares naked at you on a white background.

I feel like a dick saying this, but they really should have just stayed broken up...
    jordonlees
you feel like a dick for saying that? i feel like a dick for enjoying a fall out boy song when i was 14! ive considered suicide because of it....
    RadioTape
I'm curious to see how this turns out, people are prejudging because it's in fashion to hate fall out boy. Elton John is the man and I hope to God the Courtney Love addition is just a reaction to UG readers.

I thought the vocalist quit music because no one liked it anymore?
    unicornicopia
Quit his solo project because...something about the pressure of it being just him made it worse when it got bad reviews or something.
    CFHLIFER
These guys f%#@ing blow. If there is anyone thats "saving" rock'n'roll it's AIC.
    lankeysob
As long as the stuff on the new album is just as catchy as their old, I don't care who the guest musicians are. That being said, not impressed with their new single so much.
