Franz Ferdinand unveiled two brand new songs today, NME reports.

The Glasgow group uploaded "Love Illumination" and "Right Action" to their YouTube channel. The latter was produced by Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor.

Both songs appear on the band's forthcoming new album "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action." The record, which will be the band's fourth and is set to be released on August 26, will feature guest vocals from Roxanne Clifford of Veronica Falls alongside with Todd Terje and Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn and John.

Speaking to NME last month about the working with Yttling, frontman Alex Karpanos said: "When we were first writing the LP, I met up with Bjorn in Newcastle. We were talking about recording, and he asked what we wanted to sound like. I said, 'I want to sound like Franz Ferdinand,' then he said, 'Oh, a cross between Dr. Feelgood and Daft Punk?' And I thought, 'I like this guy - he gets it. We should record with him.'"

Earlier this year, Franz Ferdinand debuted seven new songs at a tiny gig at Glasgow venue Nice 'N' Sleazy, opening their set with three new songs: "Trees & Animals," "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action" and "Fresh Strawberries."

The tracklist of 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' album is:

01. Right Action 02. Evil Eye 03. Love Illumination 04. Stand on the Horizon 05. Fresh Strawberries 06. Bullet 07. Treason! Animals 08. The Universe Expanded 09. Brief Encounters 10. Goodbye Lovers & Friends

Franz: Tonight and the selftitled have gotten constant play at my place since they came out. Excellent albums. I just can't get down with the second album though... need to give it a few more plays.
The second album is my favourite, there's a lot of subtleties in the songs that you don't pick up on straight away, they sound great
    Yabba Who
I've never heard these guys before. Based on the above comments, I listened to the two songs linked in the article, and oh boy, I'm hooked! These guys are great!
These guys are in my list of bands that I use to counter any idiots who are like "There's no good music in the modern music scene."
They maybe new but their stuffs, i can't put them into the modern music category.
Loved these guys ever since a friend of mine introduced them to me. First album was excellent. "Ooohhhhh forty feet remain!"
4 years and this is all they've come up with?.. I love this band.. I really do, but these songs sound flat to me. It's a shame cuz their first 2 albums were incredible. Maybe they'll grow on me, but I doubt it.
Finally they are somewhat back to their old style! Not all that electronic shit they used on their 3d..
I had no idea they were still going! I still remember listening to their first album years ago. Gotta love them
I'm pumped for the album. Love me some FF. These songs aren't great imo, but I still liked them. I'll wait til I hear the whole thing before judging it.
