Green Day have confirmed the full release details of their new trilogy of studio albums "¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!".

The pop punk veterans announced late last year that they would be releasing three albums, one in September, one in November and one in January and have now revealed exactly when the albums will come out.

"¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!" will be released in three stages, with the first album "¡Uno!" coming out on September 25 in the US and September 24 in the UK.

The second LP "¡Dos!" comes out on November 13 in the US and November 12 in the UK and finally, "¡Tré!" will come out on January 15 2013 in the US and on January 14 2013 in the UK. All the albums are available to pre-order now from the band's official website Greenday.com.

Green Day will play headline shows at Japan's Summer Sonic festival and France's Rock En Seine in August and a headline slot at I-Day festival in Bologna, Italy on September 2 as well as three shows in Germany in late August.

Although the band currently have no UK dates scheduled, their American Idiot musical will tour later this year. The musical will be in the UK for three months, ending up with a two-week run at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo in December.

Thanks to NME for the report.

If you're going to bash Green Day, do it because their music is shit, not because their lyrics actually have meaning.

The album titles are supposed to be in Spanish. And in Spanish we have both exclamation marks, and ! It's not like the i in iPod. [Just in case you didn't know, ]

Yay! Hopefully they have a bit of a different sound too. 21st Century Breakdown wasn't bad, I quite liked it, but I think most people don't want another album (or three for that matter) that has that same-y 21st Century Breakdown sound.

Just wondering how long will their show last? Let's say 10 songs per album (and they'll probably be more), this makes 30 new songs. Will they make a 45 songs setlist or will they play only like 5 new songs and older hits? This is insane!

I love Green Day. 21st Century Breakdown was a letdown but Dookie and American Idiot are two of the greatest albums of all time for me, with the others coming in close behind. I'm excited for whatever direction they go in.

Billy Joe said specifically that the band wrote songs about ****ing...and there's a song about Amy Winehouse.

first off, we only knew they would release an(!) album by the announcement on Valentine's Day (not late last year). then, in April we learned that it was gonna be a trilogy. third, they only offered a notification on pre-order (not pre-order itself)... better get your facts straight before you give something to all the GD-haters here in UG

Wouldn't surprise me if they did all 3 new albums and then a greatest hits set all in one night. The shows on their last tour went on forever.

would be sweet if these albums are a return to the Dookie/Insomniac-esque Green Day but unfortunately I don't think so. I like American Idiot but 21CB was a bit meh, I have trust in Green Day though

I don't think he was saying he thought that the exclamation point was actually an "i", pronounced with the rest of the word. He was just noting that using the letter i is an effective way to make an upside-down exclamation mark. and fyi, for anyone who was wondering, you hold down alt/option along with the 1 button and you get a

I highly doubt it is 10 songs per albums. My guess is 8 or less. Also no band plays all of their new material at shows so it wouldn't mater if they had "30 new songs".
