Interpol have shared a new song, called "Ancient Ways," listen to it in the player below.

The track will be featured on the band's new album "El Pintor," which is set for release on September 8. The song itself is the second taste off "El Pintor," following first single "All the Rage Back Home."

Interpol will embark on a short tour of the UK and Ireland next year, playing London's Roundhouse on February 6-7, Manchester Albert Hall (8) and Dublin Olympia (10-11). The shows will take place as part of a wider European tour in support of their new album.

Thanks to NME for the report.

Two words: Carlos Dengler. Seriously. His bass playing made Interpol. It's a shame that he dislikes playing the instrument.

My god this is the most monotone and emotionless music I've heard in a long time.

They're a bit of an acquired taste. Got close to acquiring them at "Heinrich Maneuver" but nothing interesting happened after that for me.

Their first 3 albums are great Self titled was a step back and this doesn't seem to promising after the first 2 singles

All The Rage Back Home was amazing. One of the best tracks of the year

Yea… I thought that All The Rage Back Home was pointing towards a big comeback for them, but Ancient Ways is pretty lame.
