Metal gods Judas Priest have recently discussed their upcoming new album "Redeemer of Souls," dubbing it a "relentless" classic.

Chatting with Trunk Nation, the guys noted that six years since "Nostradamus" were by no means spent "hanging out doing nothing," admitting they're aware that fans might "prefer a more Priest classic album."

"But we've done it now, with 'Redeemer of Souls', a completely classic Priest album, and probably the same element will turn around and say, 'I wish they'd tried something a bit different,'" guitarist Glenn Tipton said (via Blabbermouth). "So you can't please all of the people all of the time, or some of the people some of the time, whatever that saying is."

Singer Rob Halford summed it all up pretty nicely, adding, "We didn't want to drop the energy. From the opening thunder-and-lightning on 'Dragonaut' right up 'till the end of 'Battle Cry,' it's just full-on, it's relentless. It's great."

The band has recently also presented the record's track listing, featuring an impressive total of 18 songs. "Redeemer of Souls" is due out on July 15, check out the title track single below.

Five bonustracks?! Aside from that, looks like one hell of a ride! Anticipating this one.
The key is no downtuned guitars. I would rather Rob sings what he can over faking it by downtuning everything.
What's wrong with downtuning guitars to suit the singer's range? It's pretty common practice.
Dragonaut? Would be cool if Judas Priest did a cover of Sleep, but I doubt it. Still, pretty damn nice that they are releasing an album. I hope they do a show in my country before they perish, they're freaking awesome live.
It won't be a cover, who the hell puts a cover song as the first track of an album??
I wish it was a cover because people may start associating "Dragonaut" with whatever Priest puts out. I'm sure it will rock, but I kind of wish it was something more original.
bout fkn time. metal has been so shtty in like forever.. thanks priest for bringing us back some good sht for a change! \m/
song sounds pretty bad and is pretty boring as well. i think priest is dead
Fairly samey song as Priest goes in all fairness... Yet still has some great bits to it. So - Priest dead? NEVER!
cant effing wait.....nostrodamus was a let down, would have been better if they cut out the filler crap and made it one album of the best songs
