Metal gods Judas Priest have recently discussed their upcoming new album "Redeemer of Souls," dubbing it a "relentless" classic.
Chatting with Trunk Nation, the guys noted that six years since "Nostradamus" were by no means spent "hanging out doing nothing," admitting they're aware that fans might "prefer a more Priest classic album."
"But we've done it now, with 'Redeemer of Souls', a completely classic Priest album, and probably the same element will turn around and say, 'I wish they'd tried something a bit different,'" guitarist Glenn Tipton said (via Blabbermouth). "So you can't please all of the people all of the time, or some of the people some of the time, whatever that saying is."
Singer Rob Halford summed it all up pretty nicely, adding, "We didn't want to drop the energy. From the opening thunder-and-lightning on 'Dragonaut' right up 'till the end of 'Battle Cry,' it's just full-on, it's relentless. It's great."
The band has recently also presented the record's track listing, featuring an impressive total of 18 songs. "Redeemer of Souls" is due out on July 15, check out the title track single below.
