Italian metal maestros Lacuna Coil have officially announced their seventh studio effort "Broken Crown Halo," confirming an April 1 North American release (March 31 internationally).
The band was also confirmed for Revolver's "Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock" tour, scheduled to kick off on February 20 along with Sick Puppies, Eyes Set to Kill and Cilver. The trek will run through March 20, check out the full itinerary and ticket info here.
"What conflict could run so deep that it takes you to the deepest corners of your inner world?" the official press release reads. "Today we are surrounded by a lot of lies, aliases, and people acting like they are wearing an invisible crown - but you better have thick skin if you want to wear this crown!
"'Broken Crown Halo' is a cinematic album that could be the soundtrack of our days - it is a dark vision of a near future when survival is second nature, and failure is not something to be avoided, but rather cultivated with lessons learned along the way."
The latest Lacuna Coil studio effort, "Dark Adrenaline," saw its release in January 2012 via Century Media Records.
