Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page has suggested that the recently reformed band may be on the verge of recording new material.

As previously reported, the band have only reformed for a one off reunion show at the O2 Arena in London on November 26th. Page has said in a new interview, however, that he believes the band will find it hard to resist the urge to record new material.

"Look, I'd be really surprised if there wasn't - you know, I mean I just know the way we are. We're musicians...as we're playing we'll probably be coming up with all manner of things.

"And that will be fun. I mean that's what it's all about. Let's do the O2 show, shall we? And then we'll speak to you afterward, Page told JAM! Music.

When asked whether the one-off show might develop into a full reunion tour Page said that the band are taking things one step at a time.

The rocker also told JAM! that there are currently no plans for the O2 show to be turned into a DVD or broadcast live on the night.

Thanks for the info to Gigwise.com.

Ill admit it wont be the same without Bonzo, but I havent heard what Jason Bonham can do yet, as Im sure most of UG hasnt.
    I completly agree!

it'd like to see Zeppelin put out some new songs. No matter what they put out it will be better then the music people listen to now.

if there was actual proof that Led Zeppelin was making a new record.....i'd literally cum IN my pants. It would be the ultimate orgasm.

It would be awesome for them to consider it....i think they should record the show and not tell anyone, then release it if it's good....and same with the album....give it a shot, and scrap it if they think it sucks. I know Jimmy would be up for anything Zeppelin, and i think Jonesy would, it's mostly up to Plant i think.

It would be like the second coming of Christ if Led Zepp returned... but better!

I wish theyd make their minds up on things... They seem to be coming up with these stories and then not going through with stuff.

vocal chords are like guitar wood, they actually get stronger, louder and improve on natural tone... if you were work em... which I'm sure he does.

i prefer a tour than a record. And i think that a average Zeppelin record it would be much better than any other band good record

To be honest, i hope they dont. 1 minute they r saying 02 is the last thing, now recording??? let them stay as one of the best bands there WAS.

A new album good or bad would not tarnish led zeppelins image or make them any less of legends look at the stones they are ****ing amazing but you don't expect a great album out of this with all the pirating and downloading of music they should jus release a single and see how it is percieved

Even if it's not as good as their past stuff...it'll still be amazing. Usually, I'm paranoid about older bands getting back together and recording new stuff...but I really hope this happens.

Led Zep made one of the most respectful decisions in music history when they decided not to continue without Bonham. It would be a crying shame to leave their younger fans the impression that Led Zep where never anything more than what they will be at the O2 show. The thing I have always respected Led Zep most for is the fact they always seemed to be in it for the music. a world tour and new record recorded without John Bonham would ruin this reputation of theirs.

I think we should all just listen to what Jimmy says now, not what Robert Plant says because he always just denies everything.

I don't really want them to record anything new. As far as I'm concerned it was over when John died. Another blatantly obvious money spinner, although I doubt it will happen tbh. Why is it that EVERYONE must sell out..?

I think they're at a good stage to do it. They're not too old like the Rolling Stones but it's not too soon like Motley Crue.

I'm a big Led Zeppelin fan, but their time has passed. I always respected the fact that they disbanded after Bonham's death, and if they record new material that would kind of ruin them a little for me. All their music in the past was amazing, but recording new stuff will only hurt them in my eyes.

i love Zeppelin and all...theyre one of the greatest bands ever easily....but didnt In Through the Out Door already accomplish that?

As bandwagon as it might be with all these reunions occuring, I am glad it is happening. This combined with radiohead's choose what you play concept is going to relight the music world for the better Too bad Pantera and Sublime can't reform

A lot of people say it won't be Zep without Bonzo. I agree, but come on its Bonzo's son, surely he inherited some supernatuarl powers from his father.

They should call their new album "Led Zeppelin - The Weirdness".
    cloudy_skies
Page has always wanted a true Zeppelin reformation: album, tour, the works. Plant was always against it because he wanted the glory that his solo career provided. JPJ...is in the middle somewhere. If they can all agree on some kind of tour or at least a few more dates, that would be amazing. But right now I think we'll have to wait until we get some real news (as opposed to speculation) on anything. Not that I'm against some kind of reunion. I'd love to see them on some sort of world tour, and an album wouldn't be too bad either. Granted, it probably won't be as good as the first four records, but if it's any better than Presence or In Through The Out Door it will probably be freakin' awesome.

As you remember them? Yes, I'm sure. Not that anything they released after 1971 was particularly glorious.

It's selling out for musicians to make music? Page makes it sound like they may write new songs just cause, like he don't even care if they come out on an album.
