Liam Gallagher and co are working on the follow-up to "Different Gear, Still Speeding". According to an announcement on the band's website, Beady Eye started working with producer Dave Sitek, best known as a member of TV On The Radio and closely associated with the New York scene of the 2000s. His credits include "It's Blitz!" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs and "Anywhere I Lay My Head" by Scarlett Johansson. The official statement reads: "Beady Eye have returned to the studio to start on the follow up to their 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' debut album released last year. Liam, Gem, Andy and Chris started sessions today with producer Dave Sitek... Release date is yet to be confirmed but the as yet untitled album will come out in 2013." In September, Beady Eye guitarist Andy Bell said that an Oasis reunion "probably should happen at some point". The band's former bass player said that he'd "love" to see an Oasis reunion happen, commenting: "I'd love it to happen. I think that life's too short for it not to happen. But, in reality, do I see it happening? At this point, no I don't. The matter rests entirely with the two brothers. It probably should happen at some point but if they can't make it happen, no one should force them to." Thanks to NME for the report.

Why do we have to choose between Beady Eye and HFB? both albums were great

I think this is the main point that should be made with respect to this Beady Eye vs. Noel Gallagher's HFB thing.

how can you say that? Noel was the main brains behind Oasis and his solo album was so much better than beady eyes last album

I read the title and thought "What about the rest of his body?" Also, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds > Beady Eye (but I think everyone knows that already.)

I would say Beady Eye is better than Noel's stuff, as its more true to the Oasis sound and ethos.

@Cheeseman Jay still, you took the time to read it. Also, Beady Eye > Noel telling lies (but I think everyone knows that already).

Beady Eye are making a second album, while this same day the High Flying Birds disband. Noel failed his clear purpose (if you're not a blinded fan) : breaking America. 28th position in the chart, despite recording it in the USA, making USA style music, USA style videos, copying the band name from an USA band, copying lyrics from another USA band, using USA actresses, saying he wanna be the USA president, etc.

also, amazing to see the age: 1979 who lived the Oasis times prefers Beady Eye, 1993 prefers Noel, the "really kids" as he calls his new fans he insults on his blog, without great knowledges, blinded by the media darling.

@connor494 Noel's album was so much superior that he received 23 negative reviews from music experts (of course you can't find them on the media statistics), Beady Eye only one negative.

also, it seems you didn't check the polls: Oasis fans preferred Liam's album. Buying more doesn't mean Noel is better, or Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber (who sold much more than Noel) would be better.
