Machine Head have officially announced "Bloodstone & Diamonds" as the title of their new album, due out this November via Nuclear Blast.

"I cannot even begin to tell you how proud we are of this album. It's been a heck of a ride. It looked like it might not ever happen again at one point, but man, this album is a milestone for us," frontman Robb Flynn noted in his online diary.

"Without getting too philosophical on ya, bloodstone and diamonds represent two of the hardest materials on earth, it is also a lyric from the opening track of the album 'Now We Die.' In many cultures the bloodstone has been used as an amulet to protect against evil, and is the symbol of justice. Diamonds are the hardest natural material on earth (which is how we feel about our music), and it also represents the diamond logo I drew 22 years ago (in my wife's apartment on Dover St. in Oakland) that has become the symbol for the band," he added.

The album was produced by Flynn and Juan Urteaga, while Colin Richardson was in charge of mixing. Andy Sneap and Steve Lagudi did additional tracking, editing, and mixing.

The frontman also couldn't be happier with how the 28-page booklet turned out, sharing a few photos to give fans an exclusive sneak peak. So without any ado, check out the track listing, album cover, media book hard cover, lyric sheet for 'Killers & Kings' and the latest band photo below.

There last 3 albums (TTAOE, TB, and UTL) will forever stand the test of time. I expect the same from this one and have a feeling we HeadCases will be pleased...

Through The Ashes Of Empires and Blackening were awesome. Unto The Locust didn't do much for me, but I'm looking forward to this one.

    Can't wait to hear it!

I was hoping for 8 songs. Not 12. I can't wait for this one to leak early so that I can illegally download it and be disappointed by my favorite band going from epic, long songs back to shitty short ones.

Given that you haven't heard them yet, don't just shrug them off as shitty songs because they're shorter. You can get plenty of epicness with 6 minute songs

Exactly. Given that "Beautiful Morning," "Aesthetics of Hate," "Now I Lay Thee Down," and "Slanderous" are 6.5 minutes or under, there is plenty of room for this album to be half shorter songs, half epic lengths with an interlude (Now We Die) and a short-ish instrumental. I bet this record pushes 65 minutes when all is said and done.

I'm looking forward to the instrumental! I know there are a lot of purely instrumental bands out there, but I always get a kick out of hearing bands who don't usually feature instrumentals on albums actually including one. Slash's first solo album was good with "Watch This". Was disappoint when the 2nd didn't include one. Machine Head \m/

I'm looking forward to this! I loved Machine Head's first two albums back in the mid 90's but didn't care for the next couple of records. Thru the Ashes of Empires and The Blackening were excellent and Unto the Locust was decent. Machine Head has always been a bit up-and-down as far quality goes for me but when they make a good record it's usually REALLY good.

Given the number of tracks, the compositions should be shorter than on The Blackening/Onto the Locust. A change for the best?

For me, Machine Head is the best band going today, and they are the reason I keep pushing myself musically. I can't wait for the new album. Machine Head!!!

I'm jacked for this, they put a lot of energy into their stuff lately so it sounds promising!
