Deadline.com reports that Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger are teaming up again to develop a rock and roll drama for HBO. From a Jagger idea that was first pitched to Disney, the tentatively titled A History Of Music will be a fictional epic tracing the lives of two friends and their 40 years in the music business from doo-wop to hip-hop.
Scorsese and Jagger worked together before on the documentary movie, Shine A Light.
Jagger, Scorsese and Sopranos writer Terence Winter are the likely producers of the series, with Scorsese expected to direct.
The Rolling Stones frontman recently opened an arts center extension at his old school, Dartford Grammar in Kent. Jagger told BBC News, "I've been given a very warm welcome, I was taken to the headmaster's office. It's always difficult to go into that room, without feeling a pang of some sort of guilt!"
Sir Mick was born and raised in Dartford and attended Dartford Grammar School for Boys before studying business at the London School of Economics and becoming a rock and roll legend.
