Danish modern metallers Mnemic will be teaming up with video producer Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company (Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Enslaved) to shoot "Diesel Uterus," a track off the band's latest album, Sons Of The System. States guitarist / songwriter Mircea Gabriel Eftemie:
"Once again we will be working with our long-time friend and film director Patric Ullaeus. He has been there for us, each and every time, and it's been almost 3 years since we have worked together. This time around we are bringing the robots, and all the stage props in order to make a cool and crazy video. I can't say how excited we are to be hanging out with Patric again he is a creative force, that has stood behind Mnemic for a long time, and together we will make an ass-kicking video!"
Regarding the song's lyrics, Eftemie has previously stated:
"[It's] about the way technology has changed our way of living. Everybody is dependent on digital devices, mobile phones, computers and especially the internet. If we have Google Earth, what does the military have? Are we safe at all? And is abundance of information a good thing? Definitely good, if you know how to avoid the bad things. The main point is that we should adapt to technology in a correct and balanced way. In reality, we do waste a lot of time. An aspect of the internet is that we end up watching the world most of the day through a screen. It is definitely a heavy topic that requires debate and a heavy song!"
Sons Of The System debuted at #64 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart the week following its release. Their fourth studio release, it was recorded at Mnemic's own studio and at the Antfarm facility in Aarhus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen.
