Producer Moby has called upon the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne and QOTSA collaborator/Screaming Trees singer Mark Lanegan to work on his new album.

The LP "Innocents" will be released on October 1, with help from producer Spike Stent who's best known for work with Bjork, Muse and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Moby might be best known for selling every single song from his album "Play" for use on commercials, but his background couldn't be further after growing up around the East-coast hardcore punk movement in the 1980s.

Mark Lanegan should contribute to every record by any artist. You can't refuse more coolness in your songs, right?
"Moby might be best known for selling every single song from his album "Play" for use on commercials" Really? i'm not a big fan but i would give him more credit than that lol.

"and Moby? you can get stomped by Obie. you 36 year old bald-headed *** blow me. you don't know me, you're too old, let go, it's over- NOBODY LISTEN TO TECHNO!"
Like they implied with the whole growing up in the punk scene: He's actually got some heavy albums, I've heard some pretty good stuff from him. Check out Animal Rights. As Eminem said, no one listens to techno, guess that's why he made some good rock stuff too.
