I don't get the hate against Nickelback. I've never met someone that didn't like them.

They should play "When we Stand Together" on a beach concert, that would be awesome.

Yeah. I hope the rest of the album sounds less like Dark Horse and more like anything else . Bottoms Up was better than the other one, though. The base of the song is good enough, but the corny lyrics ruin it. The music was alright, though. I wonder if one of them recorded their own guitar solo or if they brought someone in to record again? I don't know about in actuality, but live, it seems like Chad Kroeger is a better guitar player than Ryan Peake, or whatever his name is. Regardless, I'm anticipating this album much less than I was, which wasn't that much in the first place.

yea that song is one of the best they've made. i still go back and listen to some of their older shit every now and then, but one they saw the success of Animals and Photograph, every song from that point on became identical.

I think theyre OK. In real life, I have never seen any hate. On UG though, Nickelback is on the same level as Christians and rebublicans.

Kind of meh, to be honest, better then i thought it'd be but, my expectations were really low... I'm a fan from their earlier stuff (Silver side up, Long Road, even All the Right Reasons was mostly good too) But something tells me this will be very similar to dark horse, which was okay at best..

Look at me I can sound smart on the internet and abuse bands that are popular

Most people have no idea of their first two albums, Curb and The State. Those two and Silver Side Up are pretty sick, in their Post-Grunge days. Now they're seriously lacking originality. There's some decent riffs here and there on recent albums, but nothing special. They're pretty shit hot live though.

I don't really like these songs, and I really like Nickelback. Dark Horse was pretty good and I enjoyed it, but Bottoms Up is a rehash of Burn It To The Ground and We Stand Together I just can't get into.

And to the guy that says their songs have 40,000 plays in 11 hours? THIS GENERATION IS FULL OF SHIT MUSIC. OBVIOUSLY THEY KEEP LISTENING TO IT BECAUSE MUSIC IS TURNING TO SHIT. My generation (teenagers) have no taste in music and its bulshit. This is all people listen to anymore and it's terrible.
While some your statement is true(the terrible taste in music for teens these days) I have to tell you that music is subjective. While the bands I listen to are STP, Incubus, Alter Bridge, Slipknot etc, I dislike all Hip Hop & Rap but on occasion I will listen to certain songs from Nickelback or I will listen to one of their albums in full and take an unbiased listen while hearing the songs in sequence and how they meld into each other while also listening to the guitar tones, bass tones and drum fills.

Opinions are free. Is your music streaming out over 40,000 plays in 11 hours? I bet Nickelback hasn't even heard of you and your "pop shite".

Stand togethers verses are good but the chorus is just a whole lot more of the same shit.

Although their music is often uninspiring and very bland, I do admire the fact that they're just a straight up rock band, 4 guys who love to make music.

Bottoms Up was kind of expected, but When We Stand Together is kind of a twist and is truly a great song. I'm very excited for the new album!

I know everyone loves to hate BUT I can't help it. I like Nickelback. I don't listen to a lot at all. Good to listen to sometimes. I will have to check out the new songs.

Used to like Nickelback. They did put out some good albums years ago. After The Long Road they just started sounding the same. Such a shame. It sounds like they're not even trying. Listened to the new songs and, I'm disappointed. But can't say I'm surprised, unfortunately.

There were a few good songs on Silver Side Up and like one or two on The Long Road. But otherwise they all sound the same.
