With Motley Crue performing in Holmdel, NJ at August 30, bassist Nikki Sixx decided to spend the morning working at a nearby record store. He was there to promote "Modern Vintage," the forthcoming album by Sixx: AM, with a special giveaway.

Fans who pre-ordered copies of 'Modern Vintage' at Vintage Vinyl Records in Fords, NJ received a limited-edition (300 were made) 7" single of "Gotta Get It Right" / "Life Is Beautiful." For those who were unable to get the single in person, Vintage Vinyl is continuing the promotion online while supplies last.

Sixx, the store and his label chronicled the appearance on Twitter.

'Modern Vintage' will arrive on October 4. It contains the two songs mentioned above, as well as "Stars" and a cover of the Cars' "Drive."

Now they can say, "I bought the Sixx AM album from Nikki Sixx himself." Well, kinda.
