Red Hot Chili Peppers will offer fans 18 previously unreleased songs from the "I'm With You" album sessions. Each of the songs will be available both digitally and on seven-inch vinyl. The first pair of sides - "Strange Man" on the A-side and "Long Progression" on the B-side - will be released on August 14. The second pair of sides - "Magpies" and "Victorian Machinery" - will be released on September 11. The third pair of sides - "Never Is A Long Time" and "Love Of Your Life" - will be released on October 2. The fourth pair of sides (titles TBD) will be released November 6, the fifth pair are coming on December 4, and fans will get the sixth pair on December 18. The final two releases will be offered in early 2013. Each of the sleeves for the nine seven-inches will be designed to be combined into one larger piece of artwork. "Finding songs that seem to want to join hands with others is a special task that require the right people... and the right songs!" commented RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. "Some songs seem to have a lot more of an agenda than others. Some songs play well with others and some songs need more attention and a little extra care. Here are some songs that seemed to want to pair up and take a later train. Keep your eye on them, they're up to something." The band is currently on tour in Europe, but they'll be back in the U.S. for Chicago's Lollapalooza on August 4. The Chili Peppers' current tour schedule wraps on November 26 in Winnipeg. Thanks for the report to FMQB.com.

I don't know what you're all smoking, but I'm With You had some pretty solid songs. Police Station and Brendan's Death Song are easily some of their best work in a while.

I miss John but I'm willing to trade it to have the band get renewed energy now with Josh in the band. Look at all the concert and singles happening in just a few years! I'm love it!

Why is everybody crying about John, goddammit he wasn't the only guitarist whose ever been in RHCP.

The vibes with Josh rather than John are totally different. For me personally it's a different band. But a ****ing great band.

I liked the album, its a bit different but still very familiar and i think theres some pretty memorable basslines on the album. Hope they compile these into one big cd at some point, though i might consider buying the vinyl edition if the price is right.

He was the best guitarist they had...

Wait a while and see if it gets better.

They're still pretty good. If you've seen them on this tour, Josh sounds pretty much the same as all the other guitarists RHCP has had.

I loved 'I'm With You', but I had to work at it and listen a few times. Like Superperfex said, Police Station is one of the best RHCP songs in a while, certainly one of my favourites. There's some beautiful arrangements on that album, the piano stuff for example, not your usual RHCP sound but certainly sounds amazing in that context. Just give it, and Josh, a chance. (Coming from a massive fan of old Chili's and John F!)

I agree. I hope the B-Sides are better than I'm with You was...

I think when you have more b-sides than album tracks, you need to concentrate your efforts a bit more. I'm With you was a pretty bland album.
