Melodic hard rockers Shinedown have announced release details for their fourth album, the Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance) produced "Amaryllis". First single "Bully" was released earlier this month, and the group recently revealed the album artwork and seven previews for the new album at the following link. Songs previewed include "Adrenaline", "Nowhere Kids", "Amaryllis", "Enemies", "Unity", "Through The Ghost", and "I'm Not Alright". The album will be released on May 27th in America, and the 26th everywhere else. Frontman Brent Smith described the album as "A message of empowerment, perseverance, and inspiration that I think speaks to fans that have been with us since the beginning as well as those who are just learning about who we are and what we're about. I can't wait for the world to hear it." Shinedown's last album, the also Cavallo-produced "Sound Of Madness" debuted at number eight on Billboard and spent 120 weeks on the charts. Could these lyrics get any more lame? What is he a 16 year old kid in high school?? Why make a stupid song about being bullied? Even for people who've been bullied, how could anyone out of high school enjoy these stupid lyrics i hope they have grown up by now and realized thats not how the real world works. Ugh, the band rocks just wish they atleast attempted to be deep.

The first 2 albums were amazing. This is just blah, hopefully the rest of the songs are better than this.

I like the last to lines of the chorus but other than that the lyrics aren't that great. I guess it's a good song but not a great song.

"Bully" is just awful. Once I hit the chorus I sincerely thought it was Nickelback. The rest of the samples do sound promising, though.

I like the melody to the verse and thats about it. Their first cd is the only fully good cd. the second one had some good songs and the third did too but they have fallen in with the typical feel of "not trying" that gives a lot of rock music a bad name these days. nothing seems to stand out while being good. its mostly crap.
