Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan recently checked in from the studio with a significant update on the upcoming new album "Monuments to an Elegy," unveiling the record's tentative track listing.

"Thrilled to report that we now have our album in total, as top songs are arranged and set for drum tracking," Billy kicked off via official website. "So over the next three days I'll be focusing on vocal arrangements, lyrics, and tweaking the overall aesthetics of the record as I hope it shall be. At least then I'll be able to share a different narrative for a spell, and get off this merry-go-round we've all been on.

"That said, unless I manage to write another corker in the next month, here lies the track listing for "Monuments to an Elegy" (all titles subject to change):

Being Beige (World's on Fire)
Anti-Hero
Tiberius
Run to Me
One and All
Drum and Fife
Dorian
Monuments
Anaise"

As reported, Smashing Pumpkins are set to release not one, but two new studio albums in 2015, the second one being titled "Day for Night." When it comes to "Monuments to an Elegy," the album is being produced by Howard Willing, while the first single is expected to drop later this year.

Not to sound like a '90's snob or anything but I hope that they go back to that Gish/Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie type sound. They're a great band but they lost me around Ava Adore. Here's hoping it comes out well...

The beauty of Smashing Pumpkins is that every album is drastically different from each other. I'm eager for this release, Billy Corgan has always failed to disappoint me.

So basically no drum machine? Those three albums are quite different to one another. Would be cool to hear that early fuzz guitar sound. I really enjoyed Oceania I just hoped they'd actually finish Teargarden.

Teagarden is an ongoing project and these 2 new albums in 2015 are still a part of the Teagarden album.

There was a certain urgency to their music back then. Obviously times were different and they were an up and coming back with the spotlight pointed at them, but those early albums make virtually everything after sound utterly insignificant.

The smashing pumpkins have always been the Billy Corgan show, and with albums like Siamese Dream and Mellon collie it's hard to say it should have been any other way.
