British rock legends Status Quo have announced they'll be releasing a charity single in support of Help The Heroes and the British Forces Foundation. It is understood that the single will be a re-working of their classic hit In The Army Now, which was chosen for clear reasons.
Status Quo, who've been in the spotlight for over 50 years now, are a highly charitable group. In the past they had also re-worked Rockin' All Over The World (which became Running All Over The World, in support of Sport Aid).
In The Army Now, originally by Dutch group "Boland", was a big hit for Status Quo when they reformed in the mid-80's. This new recording, containing all but one of the members from their original version (and even the same producer), also contains several female and male backing vocals from members of the Corps of Army Music. This release will be available from 26th September 2010.
