Lotsa Steven Tyler on the immediate horizon.
Available this Friday (29), the Aerosmith singer is on the cover of Rolling Stone; his new autobiography, "Does The Noise In My Head Bother You" is due May 3; and, there's a brand new solo single to be released on May 10.
"(It) Feels So Good" will premiere on American Idol host's Ryan Seacrest's radio show on May 9, before being available on iTunes the following day.
An audio sample of "(It) Feels So Good" is available at Amazon.com here.
"I can hear it coming out of people's cars this summer", says Tyler.
The bouncy, poppy tune under the title "Oxygen (Feels So Good)" was rejected by the Boston band back in 2002 when they were going through new songs to add to the "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" package.
Looks like Steven has resurrected the track, as all the leaked versions of the original song have been taken offline due to a copyright request by Tyler.
Tyler is teaming up with Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based director and photographer Ray Kay to direct the video. Kay has worked with everyone from Britney Spears to Lady Gaga to Beyonce; his video for Justin Bieber's "Baby" is is currently the most viewed video ever, of any kind, on YouTube, with over 500 million views. All in all, Kay's videos have been watched over 1 billion times on YouTube.
This is the second solo single of Tyler's career: last fall, he recorded the theme song to the live-action movie "Space Battleship Yamato". "Love Lives" was released in Japan last November... and for those who may have missed it, here's another spin...
