Switchfoot have announced via newsletter that their former label, Columbia Records, will be releasing a Greatest Hits album of the band's music on Tuesday, November 4. The compilation, titled "The Best Yet", will feature songs from the band's entire catalog and will document 12 years of band history. In addition to the standard CD, they will be releasing a Deluxe Edition which will feature 14 music videos and band commentary. Track-listing for CD: 01. Dare You To Move 02. Meant To Live 03. Dare You To Move (alternate) In other Switchfoot news, the band will be embarking on a short tour with 3 Doors Down this December in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. The dates are: 12/04 - Orange Beach, AL - The Amphitheater at the Wharf 12/06 - Biloxi, MS - The Hard Rock Hotel 12/09 - Pikesville, KY - Eastern KY Expo Center 12/12 - Charlotte, NC - Cricket Arena 12/13 - Hampton, VA - Hampton Coliseum 12/17 - Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Coliseum 12/18 - Fairfax, VA - Patriot Center 12/20 - Duluth, GA - Gwinnet Arena Switchfoot are currently working on a new record to be released in Spring of 2009.     Good for them. Followed them for those 12 years since soon after they landed their first record deal. At times they've disappointed me, but there's no denying Jon's talent as a songwriter. They may not have many "radio hits" but what do you expect from the mainstream US music industry? Jon is a great pop songwriter in the same vein as Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney. I don't make compliments like that often. Good for him/them.

    sweet, greatest hits should be cool! but i dont know about 3 doors down....they are like totally different.....

    idk about other countries,but they only had 2 hits in America,neither being a massive hit...this seems strange to me.

    This should be sweet. But whats up with them touring with 3 Doors Down?? An odd choice i'd say.
