On November 10, Atlantic Records will release Hello Hurricane, the seventh full-length album from the multi-Platinum, San Diego-based rock band Switchfoot. Hello Hurricane is the group's first album on Atlantic Records and its first studio album since 2006's Oh! Gravity, which debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200. Switchfoot has been hard at work on Hello Hurricane, tracking more than 80 songs at the band's self-built home studio and selecting the very best of them for the record. The band recorded the album with noted producer/bassist Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Rilo Kiley, Eminem). The driving lead single "Mess Of Me" goes for adds at Modern and Active Rock radio this week. MySpace also has some music. The track listing for Hello Hurricane is as follows: 01. Needle and Haystack Life 02. Mess of Me 03. Your Love is a Song 04. The Sound (John M Perkins' Blues) 05. Enough To Let Me Go 06. Free 07. Hello Hurricane 08. Always 09. Bullet Soul 10. Yet 11. Sing It Out 12. Red Eyes Thanks for the report to Smnnews.com.

meant to live was the first and last i heard of them too. i think it'd be safe to say their best song.

Dude, they don't just hang out with fans. The lead singer goes out and does an entire set at some random spot around the city they're playing in. No mics, just him and his guitar. I think it's sweet. Anyways, I'm so psyched for the album! I'm glad they just got off Columbia records and went indie again. Major labels tend to affect the artist's music quality (not sound quality) poorly...

I liked Nothing is Sound best....appeals to my hard rock side. I'm mainly a metal fan but Switchfoot got me into music and guitar. Love these guys, and even though the album name sounds like it'd be pop, I'll still enjoy it. They actually can't make a bad song. Does he really hang out with fans afterward? Boss. That means I need to go to another concert by them. They have some of the best live shows I've seen, and I've seen alot of different bands.

Jon is awesome, he hangs out with the fans after just about every show. Say what you want about his music but this man nos what it means to be a artist.

Saw John live with his solo gig awhile back and he played a few of these. Looks to be a good album.

Just because it's popular doesn't make it their best, and Meant to Live is probably my least favorite Switchfoot song. Anyhow, Switchfoot are most definitely my favorite band and I will definitely be buying this.
